New Gorguts Album Confirmed

2013-02-09 by Uncle Vvornth | 59 Comments
It was announced in early February 2013 that Canadian technical death metal band Gorguts has signed a new
deal with Season of Mist. The band is in the process of recording and the album is expected to be released
sometime in mid-2013.

Frontman Luc Lemay indicated that the album would be more than an hour in length and, in Lemay's words, a
"very detailed, dark, epic, emotional, conceptual record."

This will be the band's fifth studio album and first album since 2001's From Wisdom To Hate.

I'd like this to be more similar to their first two albums but I highly doubt it since it will be more
than one hour long.

"cant wait to share these last compositions? looks like this is the last gorguts record."

I don't think that's what he means. It sounded from his entire quote that he was just talking about the most recent material, not necessarily the last material they write. Hopefully anyways.

And Mo hahah I knew you'd like this. I just about jizzed when I was looking up New Gorguts album last night and got real results!!!

fucking why? there are thousands of dm bands with that sound, why would you want them to stop being innovative?

I've been waiting for this record for years! I wonder if it's gonna be made up of the material that was showcased as a demo montage on YouTube almost 3 years ago...
