|

Nah, just this song.
|
| |
wow holy shit I enjoyed that more than their entire last album
|
| |
but their last album was awesome
|
| |
Listen to the EP released with their Best Of, it has War paint on it. That song will blast you in the ass.
|
| |
Fuck yes.
Gorgeous album art, too.
Digging: TesseracT - Altered State

I like it.
Digging: Supercell - Today is a Beautiful Day
|

Filthy good song.
|
| |
I can't even understand it! How am I supposed to sing along?
|
| |
Sweet song. They somehow just keep getting better with their age.
|
| |
pretty good

|
| |
"I can't even understand it! How am I supposed to sing along?"
someone translated the lyrics.
|

I'd like to hear this but I'm currently speakerless sitting in a starbucks.
Digging: Soap and Skin - Sugarbread
|
| |
are you pretending to write a screenplay?
|
| |
Not atm, I'm just searching for psychobilly clothing.
|
| |
even better.
|
| |
The Spanish lyrics are kind of an odd touch, but the song was pretty good.

I'm still not sure why this band is so well-liked
Digging: Owel - Owel

"because they're some of the most passionate post-hardcore around."
generic too, don't forget generic
|
| |
what's generic about them?
|
| |
I always felt out of all of their contemporaries, Senses Fail were the most original and best. Just really good, really passionate stuff.
|
| |
This track makes me very excited for the new album
Digging: The Dillinger Escape Plan - One of Us Is the Killer

Digging: Corrosion of Conformity - In The Arms of God

| |
"that chorus is yuck but the rest rules"
^ this.
Digging: Baths - Obsidian
|
| |
Yeah the cleans sound a tad bit over produced but the song is still really good.
|
| |
I like them because they're modest and something he can easily recreate live.
|
| |
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ftkkok2iHhU
it doesn't sound like they're that awesome at sounding as good live as they do in the studio. as much as ive been riding their nuts since high school, buddy has never been a good vocalist or lyricist aside from learning how to scream properly in the last couple years
|
| |
yeah this was good
Digging: Radiohead - In Rainbows
|
| |
as someone already said, this band seems to get better with age. getting more and more stoked about this record.
Digging: The Dillinger Escape Plan - One of Us Is the Killer
|
| |
awesome
Digging: Expire - Pendulum Swings
|
| |
Yep, so great!
Digging: Queens of the Stone Age - ...Like Clockwork
|
| |
@HomerPimpson, yeah they're not always a perfect live act but it's unreasonable to expect a band to be on point 24/7. I don't see anything wrong with that performance as a whole and the still searching songs have always been iffy live since buddy overly pushed his capability in the studio. if you watch any of their recent shows, like the one from bamboozle, you can tell he's improving by overcoming his alcoholism and anxiety issues. as for the not being a good lyricist, I have to strongly disagree since that's one of the selling points for why senses fail wouldn't be the same without his passionate input in that area.
|
| |
When did they bcome so good?
|
| |
since they started.
|
| |
I always heard bad things about them live but watched them last warped tour. One of my favorite bands of the day
Digging: Bibio - Silver Wilkinson
|
| |
they were awesome when i saw them at warped too.
|
| |
this is no "bloody romance" didn't even know this band was still around
|
| |
@andcas
tl;dr
|
| |
lazy ass.
|
| |
O BUDDDDDDDDDY. STILL SEARCHING PT2 FINALLY. YES YES YES.
|
| |
OneMoreRoland: I completely agree, it was my first time seeing them live and they played all old stuff (which I didn't mind since I had never seen them). First song with screaming in it I ever liked was Rum is for Drinking
|
| |
when I saw them at warped they also kicked ass. buddy was insane.
|
| |
"what's generic about them? "
Okay in fairness I've only listened to The Fire, but I was struck by the immaturity of the lyrics and the homogeneity of the song structures. It all felt kind of childish.
|
| |
nothing immature about the lyrics on that album.
|
| |
"WHAT ABOUT THE FUCKING FACT THAT I'M STILL ALONE?!?!" (Lifeboats)
"If I had just one wish it'd be to let this out (So let this out)
Now hold on, so hold on
But I'm still struggling I need to let this out
So let go" (Hold on)
zzzzzzz
|
| |
Suddenly Senses Fail is nu-metalcore?
|
| |
you guys.
|
| |
It translates to something about finding love. I know the last line means: you are the moon I am the wolf I sing for you longing longing
Digging: The Wonder Years - The Greatest Generation

Never thought Buddy's lyrics would be taken as one of the bands downfalls. He writes awesome stuff, sure, all bands have weaker material or a few lines of songs that seem blah, but I've always looked at him as one of the better lyricists around. I just feel bad for the crowd Senses Fail has always drawn due to their popularity. But anyways, I've been listening to them since grade 7 and now im 19 and still love them.

wow freak your wrong again. Jk but seriously Listen to their earlier albums
Pretty cool song
Digging: The Boxer Rebellion - Promises
|
| |
I think lyrically you can't save anything bad about Senses Fail. Their only downfall, to me, would
have been how Buddy used to perform live. Recent live videos show that he has improved
significantly..I don't know what it is, maybe he just isn't getting drunk before each show. He seems
happier.
|
| |
he trains mma now so that has a great impact on his live conditioning.
|
| |
Holy shit look who decided get hardcore.
|
| |
Dan Trapp owns on this song.
|
| |
Evolution is Good. They were sick live at warped this summer. This album will rule, as did The Fire and the 4 new songs from Best Of.
And its a pretty catchy chorus.
Digging: The National - Trouble Will Find Me
|
| |
"Holy shit look who decided get hardcore"
listen to bayonet. buddy's hardcore band.
|
| |
"wow freak your wrong again."
I live to kill Sputnik hype.
To be fair, I posted my first comment without listening to the song. So now I listened to it. It's...eh? Chorus doesn't do it for me. Heavy bits aren't super exciting either. So...
Also, anyone else think Buddy sounds really awkward speaking Spanish? It doesn't detract that much from the song, but there's something weird going on there.
|
| |
I have always thought Buddy was good at writing metaphors and whatnot.
|
| |
you thought right.
|
| |
"Holy shit look who decided to get hardcore"
buddy has been hardcore for years lol. the fire had some pretty aggressive songs on it too.
|
| |
YES

Is he still drinking a lot, Andcas?
|
| |
Naw, he stopped.
inb4 andcas
|
| |
Nice. Andcas your senses just were not quick enough FAIL
|
| |
he hasn't quit drinking. there are pictures of him doing so at warped tour.
he probably just doesn't abuse it like he used to now that he trains mma.
|
| |
Finally got around to checking this out... sucks.
|
| |
thanks for making me think this was another new song and being wrong.
|
| |
hah!

I'm a pretty big SF fan and somehow I'm the only one that thinks that this kinda blows.
|
| |
you really are.
|
| |
buddy is so hispanic
|
| |
don't be that guy who scoffs at any fun experiment.
|
| |
I'm not. I just hardly call speaking spanish experimentation
|
| |
song rules. the end.
|
| |
okay okay, I'll give it another shot. Regardless, I'll still check out the new record.
