Legendary Jazz musician, Miles Davis, will be releasing the anticipated second addition to his 'Live in Europe 1967: Best of the Bootleg' series on January 29th.
Replace with the label otherwise I assume Miles resurrected or somethin

Yea change the title.
I was a little weirded out when I read the title.....
Anyways, the news it self is pretty awesome.

|

Live.... from Satan's bedroom
|
| |
Have you heard Vol. 1 of this?
I haven't to be quite honest. Have you? Live Miles I've only heard `Miles in Tokyo,´ mainly because that's his only recording with Sam Rivers on the Second Great Quintet, and it is whoa (fantastic.) Rivers definitely gives tha ensemble a twist with his rather abstract, versatile swag.

"lol Hernan everybody was going supernatural crazy n shit with miles resurrecting."
Yeah I know lol, I'm just trying to change the subject from that.
"I haven't to be quite honest. Have you?"
Yeah, it was good, but not one of his best performances. I bought the album for the collectable value and because I love Miles. I've heard Miles in Tokyo too which was indeed awesome. 'Black Beauty' and 'Live Evil' are probably what I'd say are his best live stuff. Really progged-out fusion jams in those.

| |
@Tw1ster: ha
|
| |
With such a monster discography you'll probably drop more than 500 buck$, for his studio albums alone
~. Black Beauty seems to be one of those entire-concert-bomb ongoing tracks. reminds me of crazy-ass
jazz bootlegs on inconstant sol.

I was lucky to inherit a lot of his albums from my parents. They were big collectors of vinyls. In our house in England we have an entire basement filled with shelves of old albums. And yeah, that's the thing about Jazz, a lot of musicians released at least couple dozen studio albums. Miles alone has like 84 altogether of live and studio- not including his box sets and comps.

Indeed. Not necessarily solo albums through bluenote's name but collaborations, filling, & participation. Jazz music was damn incredibly active from the mid 50's to the 70's. A good thing is that afterwards(up./m70's); the proggers & rock in opposition movements were still very jazzy, and kept the genre rollin even more. Maybe it was McLaughlin, anyways, it started cooling down and to this day the scene is still very active yet more open to a cult, devoted audience - than to pretty much everyone. I should get more records, jelly for your grands!

great
|
| |
Davis is dead, and people still manage to find more content he made by him and release it to the general public in his name. Almost like Frank Zappa.
|
| |
Not a bad thing, though.
|
| |
unless its new material i dont really want this
