Damn, I wish there was a closer show cuz I really want to see both these bands, been wanting to see Circa for the longest time. Might have to take a 3 hour drive to catch the Columbus date.

this article or its title should probably indicate that this is just an Eastern tour so that people from the West don't get all pissy and think that they "SKIPPED MY TOWN OMG ASSHOLES"

Despite not coming near me, I urge everyone to go see these guys. Minus the Bear's past two albums have been shit but they put on an amazing live show. They are so tight and flawless that it's amazing. Circa, while they attract loads of girls and scene kids, are equally as flawless live and they really know how to get the crowd pumped.

I know Minus the Bear has plans to tour the West soon, probably witha re-formed These Arms are Snakes, so don't worry too much. I'll probably try to hit the Columbus show. Couldn't care less about Circa, but it's been a lot of years since I've seen Minus the Bear live and I have a man-crush on Dave Knudson.

"Wow no Philly or Pittsburgh, what a let down"

...Stradsburg is closer to Philly than Pittsburgh and probably closer to Pittsburgh than Philly.

It's about the same drive as it would be for me to get to Philly and traffic probably sucks less.

So, yeah.

Violent Waves is actually the only CS album I thoroughly enjoy.

Also this is the first time a tour I like has come to Ohio while I'm in Ohio and Michigan while I'm in Michigan.

"shut the front door foorrreaalll? i keep getting awesome news this morning"

It's been talked about for some time now. My buddy is a cook at a bar where one of the guys bartends in Seattle and he said they were getting really close to dusting themselves off. Apparently the split wasn't acrimonious in the slightest, they were just all interested in doing other things and TAAS weren't really making a ton of money to keep it THE priority. There's been no official announcement anywhere that I've seen, but the news is close to first-hand so I'm choosing to be optimistic. These Arms Are Snakes are like Fugazi to me. I can't live without them and the more material they write, the happier I'll be. They are insanely loud live.
