What do you get when you blend Circa Survive's 2012 release, Violent Waves, with Minus the Bear's
...the "Waves Overhead" tour.
All ticket pre-sales receive a free download of one remixed song from each band.
Way to leave out everything west of the goddamn Mississippi River
Digging: John Denver - Spirit
Damn, I wish there was a closer show cuz I really want to see both these bands, been wanting to see Circa for the longest time. Might have to take a 3 hour drive to catch the Columbus date.
lol @ news article
new minus the bear sucked and dont care enough about circa but they cool
Digging: Sorrow (UK) - Dreamstone
Opening date in Columbus fuck yeah
Digging: Laura Stevenson - Wheel
Could've been Violent Head?
Infinity Waves sounds cooler.
Speaking of coffee i'm drinking some as we speak.
Wow no Philly or Pittsburgh, what a let down
I might as well do the same. Long night ahead of me.
Infinity Waves sounds cooler.
Portland, ME here I come!!
no texas dates
I would go to this...too bad it's not coming near me
Canada never seems to get the good bands.
Digging: The Dillinger Escape Plan - One of Us Is the Killer
In waves sounds cooler
They should call this the Ambien Alliance tour. don't forget to bring a pillow.
UK tour next please
Ha, got all stoked for nothing. Haven't seen Circa since 2010 :-/
yes yes yes.
I'll be there.
Nearest location is 4 hours away. ugh
Digging: My Morning Jacket - Z
make the drive pansy. I mapquested it and it's 2,100 miles to the closest show for me
cya in Tampa boys
this article or its title should probably indicate that this is just an Eastern tour so that people from the West don't get all pissy and think that they "SKIPPED MY TOWN OMG ASSHOLES"
According to google maps, the venue is 1.6 miles from my sofa.
SKIPPED MY TOWN OMG ASSHOLES
Haven't seen these guys live and not near me this time. Damn.
See you in Stroudsburg
Despite not coming near me, I urge everyone to go see these guys. Minus the Bear's past two albums have been shit but they put on an amazing live show. They are so tight and flawless that it's amazing. Circa, while they attract loads of girls and scene kids, are equally as flawless live and they really know how to get the crowd pumped.
I know Minus the Bear has plans to tour the West soon, probably witha re-formed These Arms are Snakes, so don't worry too much. I'll probably try to hit the Columbus show. Couldn't care less about Circa, but it's been a lot of years since I've seen Minus the Bear live and I have a man-crush on Dave Knudson.
I just saw MtB like two months ago so I'm not too butthurt
i return to the states after 3 years and i'm greeted by MTB, Circa, deftones, BTBAM, and Opeth w/ Katatonia in May. for once, Florida rules. see you in tampa bitches
pass the Vicodin... or wait no, we need ambien... well, we sure need somethingiens
too bad both their last albums sucked.
"Wow no Philly or Pittsburgh, what a let down"
...Stradsburg is closer to Philly than Pittsburgh and probably closer to Pittsburgh than Philly.
It's about the same drive as it would be for me to get to Philly and traffic probably sucks less.
Digging: TesseracT - Altered State
Violent Waves is actually the only CS album I thoroughly enjoy.
Also this is the first time a tour I like has come to Ohio while I'm in Ohio and Michigan while I'm in Michigan.
Digging: Immolation - Kingdom of Conspiracy
probably witha re-formed These Arms are Snakes
shut the front door foorrreaalll? i keep getting awesome news this morning
Way to ignore Europe.
Will be at the opening date. Too bad violent waves was a crazy disappointment.
Digging: Eluvium - Nightmare Ending
Digging: TesseracT - Altered State
Welp. Not coming anywhere near me. And Violent Waves was good, Xeno.
MtB - dodging Europe since 10 years...
Digging: Strawberry Girls - French Ghetto
Circa, Minus The Bear AND Now, Now!
And Violent Waves was good, Xeno.
He didn't say it was bad, just a disappointment for him personally.
They just don't wanna come to St. Louis *sigh*
Got my ticket for Athens. Pumped.
"shut the front door foorrreaalll? i keep getting awesome news this morning"
It's been talked about for some time now. My buddy is a cook at a bar where one of the guys bartends in Seattle and he said they were getting really close to dusting themselves off. Apparently the split wasn't acrimonious in the slightest, they were just all interested in doing other things and TAAS weren't really making a ton of money to keep it THE priority. There's been no official announcement anywhere that I've seen, but the news is close to first-hand so I'm choosing to be optimistic. These Arms Are Snakes are like Fugazi to me. I can't live without them and the more material they write, the happier I'll be. They are insanely loud live.
