This band needs to go away. Like now.
|

They're opening for Deftones when I go see em in March.
Not really digging their newer stuff.

"They're opening for Deftones when I go see em in March."
That statement made me cringe. Not that you're going, but they they are even in the same venue as Deftones.
|
| |
Still horrible news articles eh ins

This should not be a news article.
Also, the clip is boring as fuck. It's just another chuggy breakdown.
|
| |
Wow sounds like theyre taking a new direction.
|
| |
They just rush material which is why they suck.

what a wonderful band
Digging: Anamanaguchi - Endless Fantasy (??????)
|

Okay now that you've added tour stuff it's worthwhile news.
|
| |
Not too bad.

Lmao you just added the tour shit!
|

Demo is eh but the tour news is fucking awesome. Missed them when they toured with BtBaM and whoever last year, definitely wont be missing them this time.

Of course they're skipping my state

Well Its pretty good for a silly little poop chord breakdown. Ready for the rest of it.

"They just rush material which is why they suck."
I may be completely and utterly wrong here, but wasn't most of PII written before the band had even formed? And Juggernaut had been mostly written in like, 2011 or something?
|
| |
Lloyd is right
|
| |
They still wrote a lot of material in a short amount of time.
|
| |
sounds shitty
|
| |
Deftones is bland, Periphery is bland. Seems fitting. :-]

I really wanted to see Deftones with Letlive. When I saw Periphery was touring with them it bummed me a bit.
I probably have to go, my girl hasn't seen Deftones and she's already bugging me about it.
|
| |
deftones and periphery, sounds like insurrection's ideal gig
|
| |
Last album was fantastic, but this clip doesn't tell me much tbh. I am assuming more of the same.

I enjoyed the last album but I think the first was superior. I hope this one is both different and better.
|

I thought they just released an album
|

Gay tour. Even if I really liked these bands they would never come to my city. Periphery is alright though never heard Deftones.

LOL I love how people treat Deftones as musical geniuses/gods.
I like they're music but they're extremely overrated, especially on this site.
|
| |
Never heard Deftones?!?! Blasphemy
|
| |
@Sora.
Fans will turn any artist into a god. ie: Bieber fans, Slipknot fans, ICP fans. Every artist can be considered overrated. It's all subjective.
|
| |
Clip is boring but I'm going. Loved their first album and some of Haunted Shores' stuff, I'd like to see them live.
|
| |
No way this new record will come close to the first one. Band is losing a lot of my respect, and I fucking DUG these guys, especially Misha's real early stuff.

They should have highlighted a good vocal section instead of a shit breakdown.

Chuggernaut
|
| |
Yeah, that's pretty quick being they just released a CD not so long ago. Nothing really shown much in this one but will still keep an ear and an eye out.
|
| |
I did enjoy their last album a little more than their first one. It was a lot more digestible so i'm actually pretty excited about this
|
| |
more djent... yay....
maybe in the context of a full song it'll be better but honestly all I heard was chuggah-chuggah-chuggah, and that's nothing new.

The last time I saw Deftones, they were with DEP.
I came.
|
| |
this band seriously just won't go away, will they?
|
| |
Thank God they're not coming anywhere near me
|
| |
Not coming anywhere I would travel to for this show. I'm old, so I haven't heard Periphery. I'd like to see the Deftones again soon, I've seen them a lot, first time was the "White Pony" tour at the Agora in Cleveland. They headlined and Glassjaw opened. "...Silence" had just come out. Probably in my Top 3 shows of all-time. They were both fan-fucking-tastic.
|
| |
Will see them in Nashville

i can barely contain my excitement
|

Tbh I would probably dig seeing them live, but their studio stuff is still pretty shit
|

clip was rubbish. Though I am looking forward to new material.

I can't be assed to care about this band at all. The Deftones on the other hand...
@deadtopain deftones & glassjaw show = sick
|
| |
tickets are 46 dollars for the baton rouge show...what the fuck?
|
| |
You're all fucking retarded.
Yeah let's base what the album will sound like from a 40 second DEMO , this might not even appear on the final product, or might be radically changed.
Of course they're still going to have a "metal" aspect to their music.

These guys opened for DTP with Tesseract a few years ago. They were somewhat interesting to watch, but I don't really care for the sound or for being smashed into by their 16 year old fan base.

46 DOLLARS?? THE SAME SHOW IS 33 IN ATLANTA!
|

"The last time I saw Deftones, they were with DEP.

So did I.... So did I.
|
| |
It's a trend to hate on Periphery. Not with you guys on this one.
|
| |
i'm not hating. i want to seem them play with deftones, but not for 46 fucking dollars
|
| |
Band rules.

jesus christ youre picky, it costed 130 dollars to see radiohead last year but i wasnt complaining, 46 dollars is nothing
|
| |
The cost is relative to how much you like the band.
Even I wouldn't pay $46 to see Periphery and Deftones and I like both bands very much.
|
| |
"That statement made me cringe. Not that you're going, but they they are even in the same venue as Deftones."
would you rather it be deftones opening for them?

Stop rewriting your first album and come up with something new dammit
and fire spencer, he sucks
|
| |
You really feel like PII was a rewrite of a PI?
|
| |
Maybe not, but I really feel like they're just running in circles by refusing to abandon their original formula
which is a shame because they are obviously a bunch of talented musicians
|
| |
Yeah I guess. I wish they'd drop the djent sound all together and maybe try expanding on their 'death metal' like Zyglrox or just a prog metal sound.
