New Sevendust Album 2012-12-13 by skoopy48 | 38 Replies | 1809 Views |
Rock band Sevendust are to release their 9th studio album entitled Black Out the Sun on March 26th. The First single, 'Decay', will be released on January 22.
According to guitarist Clint Lowery “It’s a lot of what we do — it’s heavy and it’s got its melodic element in it. Its more along the lines of the second and third records we did — it’s kind of like that. It’s got a couple of throwback vibes to it. ‘Animosity’ and ‘Home,’ if I can put those two records together, it would [sound similar to the new CD].”

Album will be legendary.

I'd fix that link to the article, it appears to be broken.

mild anticipation

I think they also said something about this possibly being their final album. If that's the case, I hope it's something standout like their earlier work was.

So keen to hear that song that made Joey Belladonna cry.

I'm am pretty certain that this is their last album before they head off on their final tour.
|

Yeah, not too anxious about this. I love their debut, but that's just about it.
|
| |
Bet it will suck.

Hell yes!!! If it really does sounds anything like Animosity then I will explode all over. I'm a little sad that this might be their last album, but at least Projected and Call Me No One are some great bands to look forward to.

This band's first few albums weren't bad back in the day, but I bet this is gonna be gay as fuck, just like all their recent releases.
|
| |
I thought they broke up.

Haters gonna hate...LJ still has one of the best voices in rock.
|

And done to death riffs backing him up.

will rule

I actually really liked CDM, but it was the first sevendust i heard. Looking forward to this

"Home" was one of the first albums I bought when I was a teenager. I enjoyed it.
|

Shit, i'll fix that link
Digging: The Boxer Rebellion - Promises

Will probably check this out, solid band
Digging: Lunatic Soul - Lunatic Soul II

The last half decent record this band released was Seasons, everything since then has been poor at best, so I'm not expecting much of this
|
| |
I really hope this turns out alright, but the last few records have been quite hit or miss

If it's suppose to be like the 2nd and 3rd this could end up good.
|
| |
hopefully it's more like Home, I personally did not like Animosity as much as everyone else did (other than a few awesome tracks like Angel's Son)
|
| |
who are these guys
|
| |
Excited for this
|
| |
Excited about this, contrary to many people, next is my fave from this band
|
| |
Sweet! Band rules!
|
| |
They used to rule back in the day.
|
| |
Some of their albums are sick. Lajon Winterspoon is a very consistent vocalist.
|
| |
I'll deff give this is a listen when it's released.
|
| |
It'll be interesting to see if they succeed in pulling off the sound they achieved with Home and Animosity. Those were
their only two notable albums, in my opinion.
|
| |
Seasons was good too, just a more melody oriented album.
|
| |
I also thought these guys were broken up already (I remember they were supposed to go on an indefinite hiatus after CDM and thought they would not recover, but seems I was wrong). Anyway, if this will really be their last album, maybe they'll bring their A-game, so I'll check it out once it comes out.

Good memories of seeing this band live in Brixton whilst being smashed on Red Stripe! One of the best times ever - morning after was epically distressing though
|
| |
Haven't listened to any of their later albums really.
May go change this one day.
|
| |
looking forward to this.
|
| |
their first three are awesome, the three after that were ok, the last two sucked balls.
hope this one's good
