Fightstar's Charlie Simpson has played the world's coldest ever gig, playing a set in the Siberian village of Oymyakon, the coldest inhabited place on earth.
Organised by Jagermeister, no doubt something Simpson must have had quite a lot of when he agreed to this, he performed an acoustic solo show for the locals in temperatures of -30C.
His record has been confirmed by the Guinness Book of World Records who described it as "one of the coolest records we've got."

as much as i enjoy some of charlies stuff, we were promised fightstar at the beginning of 2012, really missing them!

I highly doubt there'll be a new Fightstar record until 2014. I saw Omar said on his facebook page that some of them need to sort things out with their personal lives first so I don't think it's just down to Charlie wanting to do another solo album for their long break.
