Fun track, though it seems a bit rushed at times (screaming especially).
|
| |
Pretty solid
|
| |
Hell yes. Love this
|
| |
Very matured track.
|
| |
pretty meh track. I'll still pick up the record though. Interesting that they have two tracks on here named Arrivals & Departures.
|
| |
Silverstein is heavy again woo!
|
| |
Wow this is actually surprisingly good. Don't like the singing in the verses that much, but the singing that starts halfway through is much better.
|
| |
Love this track. Glad to hear something heavier by them considering the direction they went with Rescue.
|
| |
Nifty guitar sound and riff.
|
| |
so meh
|
| |
Much more mature than a majority of their material. Nice track, excited to see how the album is
|
| |
Definitely not a bad track, although I can't say I'm a fan of the clean vocals.
|
| |
That's an interesting riff
|
| |
Awesome
|
| |
song was pretty good. Smile In Your Sleep is a chown.
|
| |
Decent.
|
| |
Always enjoy new material from these guys. Excited as always.
That LP pressing looks pretty.
|
| |
Great band, great song.
|
| |
Really enjoyed this song. Rescue sounded a bit tired to me, this just sounds fresh. Keen for the record, hopefully it can follow suit.
|
| |
I swear every time I think they've broken up they release something new.
|
| |
I swear every time I think they've broken up they release something new. [2]
Senses Fail melodies + disambiguation-era underoath heavy sections
not a bad track at all, better than anything from their last full-length (and probably the one before that)
|
| |
I really don't like Silverstein but the screaming+riffage in this song is great. The clean vocals ruin it, however, which is a shame.
|
| |
I like this a lot. Hope this new album is great, but it has a buffalo on it so it has to be, right? Tatonka.
|
| |
I could never get into Silverstein honestly, but this track is pretty good.
|
| |
I've never liked this band but if they always made songs like this, I might actually enjoy them.
|
| |
this is really fucking cool.
|
| |
and i love the clean vocals, i don't see what you guys dislike about them...
|
| |
Definitely an interesting track. I don't know if I will enjoy it the next time I play it but it has me really interested in checking out the new album.
|
| |
dat riff
|
| |
Sounds alright dat
|
| |
decent enough. pretty forgettable, though.
|
| |
Really cool song, I like it
|
| |
really digging this, stoked for the new album.
|
| |
Never really liked much from this band but this song is fun
|
| |
Some of the screaming is reminiscent of Underoath.
Not a bad song...I'm a casual fan of this band. I like the breakdown riff.
|
| |
these guys are from neck of the woods, have seen them like 3 times, but like............... just stop
|
| |
Huh...Malleus where are you from? I'm from Toronto but I live in Kitchener
|
| |
Never cared about this band.
|
| |
im from Toronto and live in Toronto but I used to live in Cambridge
|
| |
these guys have some good stuff, but i could never really listen to a full album or anything
|
| |
unsurprisingly boring
|
| |
that was awesome
|
| |
band still rules someone should do silverstein ranked list
|
| |
those guys are really popular around here, i dont get it
theyre so awful.
|
| |
abandon all ships are popular?
|
| |
in Ontario yes
|
| |
ugh I don't even feel the need to listen to metalcore anymore. just thrash and death metal
|
| |
i ilke good metalcore like converge n shit
but yeah it generally sucks wieners
|
| |
Oh god, the headaches....
|
| |
converge arent metalcore fag
|
| |
fuck yeah, i don't know why but i love these guys
|
| |
"these guys have some good stuff, but i could never really listen to a full album or anything"
Totally agree with this. They are pretty hit and miss on their albums.
|
| |
I don't really like the title track or Call It Karma. I go back and forth on Defend You and My Heroine. I do think it's the best album that I've heard from them.
|
| |
Song really isn't that good guys. Short Songs and The Rescue definitely had better songs than this.
|
| |
"thanks for abandon all ships."
"jerseyshorecore"
abandon all ships was popular way before jersey shore
that being said theyre the type of band id expect you to give a 3 or 3.5/5
anywho,
your welcome for Rush
oh right, you dont listen to good music
|
| |
cleans are a little too whiny, gang vocals were lolsy
|
| |
Song is pretty cool. Riff is awesome.
|
| |
Kinda surprised by how much I liked this.
|
| |
"dam thought this was silverchair"
...would be so much better, alas
|
| |
solid track.
and everyone saying 'glad they got heavy again.' umm... how about The Artist or SOS off Rescue and Short Songs?
|
| |
Dat riff [2]
Never listened to these guys but I will check out this album
|
| |
Cool song.
Reallllly liked their last album tho
|
| |
Listening to this song more and more over the past day.. so good. Probably one of their best ever. Love this band!
|
| |
anyone notice every 7th song is a common theme? like its split between the first 7 tracks and last 7?
1 & 8: Stand Amid the Roar In a Place of Solace
2 & 9: On Brave Mountains We Conquer In Silent Seas We Drown
3 & 10: Massachusetts California
4 & 11: This Is How The Wind Shifts
5 & 12: A Better Place to Live and to Lose
6 & 13: Hide Your Secrets With Second Chances
7 & 14: Arrivals & Departures
|
| |
oooo clever
|
| |
Interesting... I wonder if it was intentional.
|
| |
i really like this band
|
| |
Been digging these guys like crazy lately, so I really enjoyed this. Looking forward to new stuff.
|
| |
finally heard this song and it rules. one of my most anticipated albums of 2013
|
| |
I don't think I have ever looked forward to a Silverstein album. I always wait and buy them when they go in the bargain bin at Hastings, lol.
|
| |
anyone else catching them on tour? i'm definitely attending the orlando date and this album is going to rule
|
| |
still digging this. it's one of the best songs they've ever done IMO
|
| |
Yes huh
|
| |
Lol discovering the waterfront Is so overrated ;P
|
| |
I like waterfront I just think most their other shit is just as good
|
| |
i'm on team andcas for this one
|
| |
Looking forward to it
|
| |
I think either Vices from Shipwrecks or Always And Never from Waterfront would take the top spot for me. Discovering The Waterfront is their most consistent and best album imo, but haven't heard Rescue or Short Songs yet tho.
|
| |
@Ecnalzen I agree with both your choices from shipwreck and waterfront respectively, as for Rescue i'd say Texas Mickey takes the cake for me
|
| |
DtW is their most consistent, but Shipwreck is better imo.
DtW is like 3 and shipwreck is 3.5.
band is a little generic for my liking.
|
| |
they sound slightly generic at times but it's just hard not to like them
|
| |
cept not
|
| |
"I agree with both your choices from shipwreck and waterfront respectively, as for Rescue i'd say Texas Mickey takes the cake for me"
That's cool, I will give that song a shot. I've been meaning to give Rescue a listen, just haven't gotten around to it and that sounds like a good starting point. I kind of gave up on the band after Arrivals & Departures for a little bit (listened to it recently and it wasn't as bad as I remembered). Just bought Shipwreck a few months ago and wasn't pleasantly surprised with it.
The only thing that kind of ruins this band for me is the clean vocals. I think his scream is so much better and the band would be better off if they went heavier more often.
|
| |
Ecnalzen did u try this song?
|
| |
Yeah, I liked it from what I remember. I was just stating in general.
The link won't let me watch it anymore tho...
