Ed O'Brien, guitarist for Radiohead, has announced that Radiohead will "definitely" tour next year, saying that they plan to tour the United Kingdom and Europe in May 2006, before heading to the USA over the summer. In an interview on BBC Radio 1, he confirmed to presenter Zane Lowe that there was no confirmed release date yet, but said that recording the album would continue into next year.
Surprisingly, O'Brien also revealed that Nigel Godrich, the band's producer for much of their career, would not be involved on the as-yet untitled 7th studio album. Mark Stent, who has worked with artists such as Madonna, Keane, U2, and Bjork has been mentioned by O'Brien as being possibly involved with producing the album.
