Judas Priest Reissue 2012-07-20 by holy moly my guy | 17 Comments | Judas Priest have announced the release of a 30th Anniversary Edition of their classic 1982 album, Screaming for Vengeance. The reissue, which has a spiffy reworked cover art, will include the remastered recordings of the original album, along with its 2001 bonus tracks, "Prisoner of Your Eyes" and a live recording of "Devil's Child", as well as 4 live bonus tracks of some of the more iconic tracks of the album recorded in a live show in 1982.
Finally, the package also comes with a bonus DVD, showcasing a Judas Priest performance at the US Festival on May 29th, 1983.
The reissue will be released on September 3rd, 2012.
Having finished their farewell Epitaph World Tour, the band plan on releasing a new album later this year.

I have the original and the 2001 remastered edition but I'll mainly be buying this for the DVD.

Sweet news.

| | | Wow this is fucking sweet. The new album news is great too.

Sad Wings of Destiny is far more deserving of a reissue.
| | | An overwhelming "meh," to be quite frank. Hasn't Screaming already had a re-release or two?
Hopefully the new album will be better than Nostradamus
| | | Will be getting this reissue. Sweet!

Only that doesn't need one. Still sounds amazing.

Surely so, proper availability is what I had in mind here. It's a clear and simple money grab though, so they wouldn't bother dusting up something great when they can just repackage the stuff that everybody already knows.
| | | news article should be: Judas Priest reissue/new album
| | | Who cares...bonus tracks are nothing exciting and I already have this record.
| | | I own a vinyl record store with some friends and one of our partners is obsessed with Judas Priest, so we're hosting a listening party on the day of the release.
| | | They reissued British Steel in the same manner a few years ago. A bit unnecessary, just as most
reissues are, but I might get this if the price is good. I already have it on vinyl, but I really like
that reworked cover art, plus the DVD will surely be entertaining.
And c'mon, perhaps not their absolute best, but this is still a great great GREAT album.

Haha that sounds sweet :D
| | | Really good news !! Sound like a reissue worth having
And covert art looks really great...
| | | I hope it's better than Nostradamus ugh
| | | I dont think there is any JP album that really needs a reissue, they all have great quality.
| | | Awesome
