B Sharp is the fucking man.
"GUITARS" and "LOUD"
Sounds good to me!
This guy lives in my city but never plays shows....lame.
knock on his door and ask him to play a little diddy for ya
Oh fuck yes!!!!
" This guy lives in my city but never plays shows....lame."
well he has full time work, just does this as a hobby which makes him even more awesome
I'm so stoked. I love everything this guy has released post-Discovery.
This just sounds like the coolest thing ever.
LYBH was a refreshing step for Sharp, but it was definitely missing something. Here's to hoping that the next release satisfies me.
Probably be boring
Digging: ABC - The Lexicon of Love
Gonna be great.
Shoegaze? Ooooh. Can't wait.
It's gonna be like Mew with a dose of Beach House, obviously.
All in sterile 4/4.
cant w8 m8
Can't fucking wait!
Gonna be good as always!
Mid-90's arena shoegaze
No compression? Arena shoegaze? Doesn't sound at all like ]]][[[ or Beacons. Therefore...
Probably be boring
Digging: Touche Amore - Stage Four
what does no compression mean?
Is he talking about file formats?
Digging: Christian Loeffler - Mare
I don't know anything about guitars, but it may make more sense if you look at the blog post itself.
I assumed he meant guitar tones / effects being clean of compression, but maybe I'm wrong.
he changes his style on almost every release you turkeys
stoked for this
Probably means he won't do much compressing of the mix as a whole. That's a big part of the typical mastering process i'm pretty sure. It evens the peaks in volume and makes the volume more uniform throughout a song.
sounds good! Can't wait!
im too stoked for this
this will rule
Yeah, like Omaha said, I assume guitar compression. Though a sans-compression Sharp album could be interesting.
Hopefully like a heavy and darker version "Let Yourself Be Huge".
Digging: Korn - The Serenity of Suffering
The name Cloudkicker is really......really fucking cool.
Digging: Raging Speedhorn - We Will Be Dead Tomorrow
Well be waiting
should be solid material!
Digging: Wormrot - Voices
The band that introduced me to bandcamp
almost no compression..hmmm - I'm down for a listen regardless - dude has writes some solid groove.
would like an upgraded beacons or portmanteau.
a new interview came out of ben saying the new album is like drawing a line between beacons and the discovery...oh fuck yes!
"a new interview came out of ben"
He's just full of those things, isn't he?
ahaha yea he's stuffed with them
Wonder if I can meet this guy. Dude looks so normal I could have walked past him many times and never known. Chances are I'm 15-30 miles from him right now.
He's like a pastry filled with interviews
