Last year there were enough writers that truly stood out. This year we're having a hard time identifying anybody. That doesn't mean that they're not out there, just that we missed them and now they have to identify themselves.

What have you heard? Jom and I have the final say and I can't think of any issues that we have with you.

I was told by a couple of people (I won't give names as I don't want to cause drama) that certain staffers have said they would try to block me from getting a promotion if I applied. Reading your message is reassuring though. I think I'll pump out a half-dozen reviews before the deadline and apply. I haven't been as consistent this year as I was last year, but I can certainly get back up there.

It's their position to give away how they see fit. Just because you're a good reviewer and have written a lot, does not necessarily mean you meet what they have defined the Staff position to be.

ReturnToRock: you see what you're saying, right? All reviewing sites have to keep up with the current trends, otherwise they wouldn't exist. Reviewing older material is all fine and dandy, but you have to keep with the times as well.

I understand what you mean. And yes, I agree plagiarizing is indeed a terrible thing to do. But people change. He got caught and
learned his lesson. He's uploaded a few reviews since then, which have all been legitimate. We've all fucked up at least once in
