linkin park was worth celebrating once
|
| |
why not, HT live will be good...
|

most users are too young to know that this band always sucked. 10 years from now a shitload of young adults will be pining for the glory days of hollywood undead in similar fashion.
|
| |
Satellite, that won't stop my nostalgia for Meteora.
|
| |
Meteora is their best album.
|
| |
These guys were cool for me back in 2000-2004 when I was younger and I was full of teenage angst. Then I found hundreds of better bands.

How does this band continue to release multiple albums every year without actually creating new content.. Linkin Park might be the most whored out musicians of our time.

dwayum dis group frontin'

"Linkin Park best of live album"
So will they release an empty album then?

nah dey jus gonn put da old live in texas dvd from after da first 2 albums in a new case wid a new name
|
| |
listened a little to the first one on spotify. they are at least good at performing the music they have written, I'll give them that
|
| |
They have good performance with memorable moments like some of their rock am ring shows and other performances of LP like Puerta De Alcala are really weak (when they played wretches and kings I saw one of the weakest and most bland pre. The biggest of problem of these guys recently is that chester bennington vocie in a big percent of the screaming parts is dissapointing

You should never use Hollywoood Undead in the same sentance

[Insert generic statement about LP sucking]

You should never use Hollywoood Undead in the same sentance[2]
Even the sound of cats dying is more pleasent than a Hollywood Undead record
|
| |
I guess Satellite was too cool for LP even back in the day. They were my favorite band in middle school. Still spin Hybrid theory once in a while. This album seems pointless though just like everything they've put out in the past few years.

no one care

look, with all due respect, shut up. no one cares about your stupid opinion. and hollywood undead was never even close to being as popular as this band so no one is really going to miss them so i don't know what you're getting at with that

"most users are too young to know that this band always sucked. 10 years from now a shitload of young adults will be pining for the glory days of hollywood undead in similar fashion."
Sorry, Satty, I have to disagree. I'm as old as you, but I thoroughly enjoyed 'Hybrid Theory' and 'Meteora' in middle and early high school. Even though I recognize now that the music they made wasn't all that technical, back then, they were my voice, and even now there's all manner of nostalgia I get listening to them.

not sure it's comparable

tyler james bernard makes everyone mad itt

I'll admit, I loved them when I was younger. But unlike a lot of people here, I realize they were never ACTUALLY good. So I very much second Satellite's sentiment. It kinda bothers me, all the nostalgia fueled defending of their "old stuff"...
|
| |
there is good and then there is good at what you do
they were the latter for 2 albums
|
| |
their live cover of wish was unbearable.

Why should it bother you? It's driven by the emotions you had as a kid/teen...those emotions to which Linkin Park sang in both of their most well known early releases. If I discovered Linkin Park now, obviously fuck 'em (why would I rage to music of rebellion when the members of the band are millionaires who are nearly twice my age?)...but I didn't. I discovered them back then, when I didn't care about anything in music except expressing myself. And while I no longer can connect with any of their lyrics, listening to them now takes me back to those memories of back then, of how I was, of what was happening, of who and where and why my friends were, and for that, I'll sing along.
So hell yeah, nostalgia.

"Hello, Mr Wilson ;]"
Hello, fellow PT fan :-P
|
| |
lol knew that would rustle some jimmies/fuck off ire
|
| |
Oh, don't misunderstand. I'll still sing along to Hybrid Theory or Meteora. But with the knowledge that they're not GOOD. I only referred to people who will argue that they were GOOD-good, as opposed to "They're not a good band. But I do nostalgically jam sometimes, can't help it". No offense meant to people such as yourself. Also, great PT reference.

their live cover of wish was unbearable.
Sorry but I have to disagree with that andcas, but that cover is for me somethign really enjoyable and vocals are sick, of course, the original one made by Nine Inch Nails and the cover of Dillinger Escape Plan are far,far better.
|
| |
1. Each of Linkin Park's albums are over-rated -> LP is over-rated
2. Hybrid Theory is their best album, not Meteora. Though M2M in my opinon was their most mature album.
3. Despite all the nostalgic ratings, Hybrid Theory isn't a bad CD. Not exactly great, but I'd say it's debatable.
|
| |
lol these guys
|
| |
Happy2review has it all right.
|
| |
I agree with Happy except for Hybrid being the best album, I felt as though Meteora did everything that Hybrid did and perfected it. I definitely agree about Minutes to Midnight being the most mature album though.
|
| |
This band hasn't appealed to me since hybrid theory... they have gotten soft and i'm tired of hearing them on the radio every 10 minutes... not exaggerating.
|
| |
i guess they're just going to release a blank cd?
|
| |
Or music is subjective and you guys can calm your tits? Band is bleh in my humble opinion though.
