the offspring are in their mid-40's, shouldn't they be past these joke songs? and honestly i feel like this band has become so out of touch with what they once were that i question whether they even intended it to be a joke. maybe after the humorless (save "shit is fucked up") rafrag, they're going for that goofy shit again, but at least their old funny songs were actually funny. and usually punky (cool to hate, dui anyone?). this band got me into music in the first place, but seriously fuck them, this is unforgivably terrible.

Really great song, I'm looking forward to the new album. The instrumentals are very thought provoking and his voice is more childish than ever. The mere fact that it's getting this terrible reaction just shows how great they really are.

I don't think this will be higher than 2.5 . It's funny how Rise And Fall has an overall 3 rating while Splinter has a 2.9. Splinter should be at least a 3.5, it's heavier and better than both Rise and Conspiracy. It has some weak tracks but still it deserves a higher rating.

That. Was terrible. But that's normally how Offspring albums are, you'll get nice handful of good classic Offspring style songs, then a few that are utter trash. I actually wonder if the band actually is aware of what their fans actually want out of them, which is their signature sound from mid to late 90's. I don't see the need for them to make songs like this, especially considering how old they are now (Noodles is pushing 50!).
I'm hoping for at least a 3.5 out of this album.

Well, so far California Crusing is worse and expectations for this album are getting lower and lower. I only hope there's some punkier track at least on the new record.
