So, it's good. Almost kind of 'old school' metal meets Icon.

With all analogies accounted for, stylistically the album reminds me of that My Dying Bride album Like Gods Of The Sun.
That attractive dryness...
Almost kind of 'old school' metal meets Icon.
I can hear some Vallenfyre too in this one.

Review it
|
| |
Don't know if I'm ready just yet.
I got this today and I'm only on listening session No. 5.
Plus I know that you have a promo for this and I figured you would do the honors.
Anyway, will see how it goes with the words in my mind and act accordingly.

Tbh I thought this was their weakest in a while. Most of it's pretty boring because it doesn't have much of the atmosphere and catchiness of their more recent stuff.
The title track rules though

@ AnarchistFish
That's what I thought too when I first listened to it.
More than anything, this album turned to be a grower for me.
Try to listen to it with headphones at full volume and while the clock has gone way past midnight...
|
| |
this sounds fantastic so far
|
| |
I agree with Voivod, this is definatly a grower.
|
| |
I always thought this band was one of those lame gothic metal bands, but I really liked this album.
|
| |
I've never really listened to this band, but I might give this a chance.
|
| |
Don't know if they'll ever write a song as good as As Horizons End again. Unless they already have and I just missed it
|
| |
"I always thought this band was one of those lame gothic metal bands, but I really liked this album."
Na...but they were responsible for those "lame gothic metal bands". :P
|
| |
Good album ! I like it more than he one from 2009 .
|
| |
Agreed.
|
| |
I think it's beater than Faith Divides
|
| |
I don't think this album has a stronger tune than Faith's Title Track or The Rise of Denial. Still it's much more consistent, I guess.
|
| |
isn't better than Faith Divides, imo. And even then I preferred their s/t and Symbol of Life
|
| |
Na...but they were responsible for those "lame gothic metal bands". :P
Don't get me wrong, I like a few of them such as Theatre Of Tragedy. But most...
|
| |
Yea, it's true. There has been a considerable amount of bands inspired by them, it's no surprise most of them are insipid as fuck.
|
| |
debut was atrocious, hope this is better
it's been 12 albums since then..
|
| |
22*
Maybe he meant the debut single Crucify?
|
| |
no, this is their 13th
|
| |
oops I read years, not albums
|
| |
Theatre Of Tragedy were awesome, their first three albums that is...
|
| |
Especially Aegis.
|
| |
Gah! You guys are killing me. Theatre's newer albums rock pretty nicely as well.
|
| |
All of Theatre's albums were at least good. The last one was the only questionable one.
|
| |
Forever Is The World? That one is pretty decent too.
Btw what's up with the lame duck avatar.
|
| |
You have a fucking shark. Not even a cool shark, just a shark. At least mine moves ;)
|
| |
Dude my shark would conquer that sea your damn eye is crying into.
|
| |
I'm going to change you avatar to a little pink fairy.
|
| |
The Game Of Avatars
|
| |
:O
You can DO that?!
|
| |
Yes. Yes I can.
