shitty, these guys fail to ever impress me, obviously a good fanbase besides me though
| |
Jesus, enough new material?
| |
The song is okay but the lyrics are awefull!
| |
Awesome song. Unfortunately it does sound like they're sticking with their The Here and Now sound on
the new album.
| |
mehhh
| |
Song isn't bad actually
| |
S'alllright, nothing of theirs has beaten the breakdown on 'early grave' yet.
| |
Sounds promising imo.
| |
do you still believe in all the things that you stood by before?
are you out there on the front lines?
or at home keepin' it core?
| |
Also, compiling iconic historical footage to highlight the greed and disgustingness of humanity is getting a little cliché now.
| |
Not bad. Yeah some of the lyrics are iffy but it's better than 95% of THAN already.
| |
rules
| |
This is more like it. Great stuff.
| |
Unfortunately it does sound like they're sticking with their The Here and Now sound on the new
album.
wtf apart from the vocals there is nothing remotely THAN like in this
| |
Agreed. Did you even listen to the song before posting that comment?
| |
Those lyrics........ lol arent they a british band? Why are they critizing america?
| |
No I like to not even listen to the songs I submit as news.
@AnarchistFish I know it doesn't exactly sound like anything off THAN but it's closer to that compared
to Hollow Crown and their previous albums.
| |
Those lyrics........ lol arent they a british band? Why are they critizing america?
Because we can.
| |
that breakdown sucks
| |
Those lyrics suck
| |
song is awesome
lyrics aren't amazing but it's architects and already better than THAN so stop bitchin
| |
That was awesome, unexpectedly so.
That song alone shat all over The Here And Now.
| |
hopes are up, song rules
| |
songs pretty good, lyrics are atrocious. just happy they're going back to the Hollow Crown sound.
| |
holy hell this blows, lyrics are lolbad.
| |
I like this song. Gonna have to check out the new album.
| |
Song's okay
1/5 with two accounts nice
| |
the lyrics aren't terrible, but they are a little awkward. and they're singing about another country so it sounds forced
| |
To much hollow crown, not enough nightmares.
Album is going to disappoint.
| |
boring
| |
Other than those lyrics, I thought this was a pretty damn good song.
| |
huge. seriously.
| |
why are lyric videos so popular now?
| |
I enjoyed that aside from the bad lyrics. Great melody.
Funny how I was one the only people who enjoyed "The Here and Now" because I started out with that album.
| |
so good.
| |
Holy fuck, the ending is amazing!
AND the lyrics are rad! Wtf is everyone on about? Learn about the political system before disregarding
the message. Kids, this aint about your local daycare.
| |
Sounds like they are covering a Rise Against song. wtf
| |
People being offended by it are stupid and likely know nothing of what's actually going on here. [2]
| |
Good sound.
| |
People being offended by it are stupid and likely know nothing of what's actually going on here. [3]
| |
Band is terrible
| |
Other than those lyrics, I thought this was a pretty damn good song. [2]
| |
^ Thanks for the input Cap'n'
| |
First half of the song is genuinely very good. That breakdown is absolutely terrible though.
| |
Hopefully the rest of the album doesn't follow this political stuff.
| |
This is disappointing and Sam's vocals are just getting worse and worse. I hope the rest of the album finds the "Hollow Crown" style and Sams vocals begin to sound like they were on ruin or hollow crown. Song was okay but man they can do so much better, especially lyrically.
| |
It's those forced singing parts.
| |
The vocals are ok but I know what you mean
That breakdown is absolutely terrible though.
nope
| |
oh look the ignorant brit is defending his band again
| |
Comon' Malleus, they're good. Be nice.
| |
My pleasure non
| |
don't know pal. Maybe it was the cringeworthy "Fucking pigs" scream or maybe it was the fact it was one paced and added
absolutely nothing to the song, it barely even lifted the intensity.
| |
I liked the fucking pigs line actually. The line before that where he said he couldn't find any poetry in it basically admits that it's a stupid line but he's SO ANGRY. Sounded cool, I liked it.
| |
surprisingly good actually
| |
Song is good. Don't really like the tone of Sam's screaming much tho, it was alot better on Hollow Crown and Ruin imo.
| |
Band has got worse with every release. This song seems really poor to me... Bring back Nightmares.
| |
Song was damn heavy, which was cool, but I liked THAN better. Hoping they have more songs like 'Untitled' on here.
| |
Idk why people are complaining about the vocals. The vocals are the only part of hollow crown that sucked although it's honestly almost the same but with better production.
| |
i like the vocals not the music though
| |
No way. The vocals made Hollow Crown.
| |
I hated the production on the vocals on HC for some reason. I like these ones better. And I don't think the lyrics are completely horrid but that one line "eyes roll back, chemical despair. It's true what they say, life isn't fair" is pretty cringe worthy.
| |
vocals on hollow crown felt passionate and "hardcore" at the same time. they are way weaker on this, but it still rules.
| |
Guess I'm the odd man out then. Oh well I'm still looking forward to hearing the rest of this.
| |
I like
| |
hahahahah those lyrics
| |
Hmm. That wasn't bad, I guess. Sounds like they've hit the exact middle point between The Here And Now and Hollow Crown. It was an alright song, possibly a grower. I honestly think I liked 'Day In Day Out' more the first time I heard that than this, although I'm hoping it's one of the weaker tracks.
| |
People that think the lyrics are awkward are probably well aware of "what's going on" the lyrics are just awkward and having it as a sing-along video really doesn't make it any better. Seriously bands, stop making these fucking videos, I always put them on then look at another tab do I don't get scared away by the lyrics.
| |
The vocals on HC grew on me, and now it's one of my favourite albums. They really do make the record what it is.
I'm slightly disappointed with the entire massive melody thing they're trying to achieve. It sounds too much like THAN.
| |
the fucking pigs line was actually kind of cool. he sounds so angry
i enjoyed this more than anything from THAN
| |
i'm actually going to look forward to this. it probably won't beat HC but it will do
| |
Kinda weird having a British band make this kind of song about America when Britain is hardly better. But regardless, I enjoyed it.
| |
Lyrics sucked. Didn't like the 'if there was a God' thing
| |
Too bad... Every single song off HC is better than this
| |
Every song on Hollow Crown was better than this but this is pretty damn good Sam sounds a lot better than he did on the last album
| |
The lyrics videos need to stop.
| |
i like the breakdown in this song. shrug.
| |
That breakdown was so bad.
| |
Sam does sound better. However, Devils Island was great. And this blows in comparison
| |
This was rather enjoyable. :D
| |
meh
| |
The breakdown is a little dull. It worked on Early Grave though.
oh look the ignorant brit is defending his band again
oh my god just fuck off
| |
The breakdown rules and Sam sounds fucking pissed which is a welcome return from his mediocre performance on THAN
| |
They will never go back to there Nightmare - era sound do this band will more than likely never impress me like that album did. Sounds miles better than their last album so that's always a plus.
| |
Dumb lyrics, awesome song.
| |
Nightmares was a different singer
| |
^ yes and
| |
I'm not entirely convinced that they will produce a record that will match Hollow Crown however, i hope its head and shoulders above their previous record.
| |
When I listen to Hollow Crown nowdays I get pretty bored half way through until the last track. They really should go back to Nightmares sound, that album was really enjoyable, but the recording is really thin sounding.
| |
Nightmares would be better than HC with better production and Sam on vox
| |
^ yes and
RE: Band should just make an album like Nightmares.
Yes and that is why they will never do anything like Nightmares ever again.
| |
mhmm. sad story
| |
"The breakdown is a little dull. It worked on Early Grave though."
maybe because it was a completely different breakdown?
| |
totally different breakdown lolz
| |
the music video seems like it trying to be political like etid's one for under water bimbos
| |
would have been so much better without the painful lyrics popping up
| |
Lyrics would be better if Sam really knew what he was talking about, it's like he just watched a documentary about the corruption with politics and money within the US a week before recording.
Btw I like the song alot more than I did the first time I heard it. It's better when you don't watch the video and just listen imo.
| |
I really hope it's the only "political" song on the album.
| |
^ same
| |
I really enjoyed everything on this besides for the vocals. The vocals just seem so lifeless.
| |
I thought the breakdown was the best part. Love the chords in it
| |
New album isn't shaping up to be very good.
| |
Ehhh mehhhh kehhhhh pehhhhh hehhhh
| |
the vocals in this sound a lot better but it's like there's no energy from sam until the 2nd half of the song.
THESE STREETS aren't... PAVED with GAAOOLD
DON'T BUHLAVE everyTHANG THAT you're TOLD
idk but the song is fucking awesome and i don't care
| |
mehh
| |
