Hope it's good.

LOL I went on and listened to this song called Violet Fire from CSLSX or something following that, thinking it was part of Arcade Fire's... oops
Honestly that Violet Fire song was more interesting though. Even though it sounded like a mix of 65daysofstatic and Spirited Away's soundtrack, thought of Yoko Kanno for some reason too.
Arcade Fire's was dull, but Suburbs had awesome songs and boring songs. So maybe there's hope? And maybe it's serving some movie purpose we don't know about.

i need to check this band out, i've heard nothing but great things
|
| |
^ you've never heard any of their material, yet?! D:
check out funeral, ffs! haha
|
| |
Cool song, goes well with the story (if I had read the book listening to that, maybe I wouldn't have noticed the meh style of writing so much)
|
| |
"Honestly that Violet Fire song was more interesting though. Even though it sounded like a mix of 65daysofstatic and Spirited Away's soundtrack"
You say that as if the Spirited Away soundtrack isn't good. BUT SURELY YOU DIDN'T MEAN THAT.
|
| |
oh WOW this was a boring song, WHEW, I mean...my goodness
|
| |
song was meh. i'm about to start reading these books.
|
| |
Dangit. I got excited thinking there was a new album soon. I actually realized it would be for this
soundtrack specifically right before the page loaded though. I know they've been going for a high-
class indie vibe with this soundtrack.

| |
not bad not great
|
| |
Hunger Games is like Twilight for hipsters
Of course Arcade Fire are on the soundtrack
|

Digging: The Dillinger Escape Plan - Ire Works At Olive Garden

sux
|
| |
meh. i liked the first few songs on The Suburbs but everything else from this band is pretty boring.
|
| |
@kill legit question, what do you like that isn't old school or metal?
|
| |
Yo haters I love this band and this song was just fine :3
|
| |
completely different. thats always good (almost). I liked this
|
| |
"Hunger Games is like Twilight for hipsters"
... I won't bother responding to this one... :P
|
| |
Why not? It's also Young Adult Fiction aimed at teenagers and pre-teens with below average reading ability
|
| |
@ TMobotron all the way up there: No I didn't mean that at all. Spirited Away's soundtrack was epic, so while that song reminded me of it I kept thinking 'I could just get my Joe Hisaishi and have a better song'
But Violet Fire was much better than Arcade Fire still
|
| |
fucking love the hunger games.
|
| |
us canadians have many GOLIATHS
|
| |
until the vocals start it sounds like just about every sonic youth song ever.
after that it sounds like a soundtrack song
|
| |
The first one reads like Maximum Ride (with a better story). Then everything interesting suddenly runs away and leaves Twilight: Redux. You can tell that this author doesn't really know or care about hunger or oppression and all those heavy themes by the time that girl goes from:
'Problem of the day: Little Sister was Chosen' and 'District 11 is being beaten by the guards' to 'Problem of the day: Peeta's hurt and ignoring me' 'I let the guy I don't have feelings for kiss me and now maybe I have feelings for him' 'I should run away with him but what would Peeta think' 'I should see Peeta but what would he think'
|
| |
okay
|
| |
BITCHFORK I MISSED YOU!!!!
|
| |
