Deviant has plenty of reason to criticize and be generally unhappy with the state of the news posts on this site lately. I mean at least put a little bit of thought into it and even just write a couple sentences. I think when you read a news article you should come away with at least a little bit of background on the band and their recent history, but lately people just find something out about a band they like and run to sputnik as fast as they can to share it. I think the idea of letting users post stuff like this is great and allows for a much wider and less-biased coverage of things in the music scene, they just definitely need to be actively monitored and not just unanimously green-lighted.

In all seriousness though, I read (after they released Daisy.) that they had thought about using a lot more sampling and relying more heavily on instrumentation. It would be sweet if they went down that road whilst keeping some heavy lyrical content layered in there. This might be great.

It might suck too... I hope it doesn't suck. I love these guys.

I would personally absolutely abhor an album reminiscent of YFW. I love YFW, but in a nostalgic way, I never turn to it when I want some deep musical prowess, I turn to it when I want a somewhat 'fun' little album. I hope they strip down the filler, go minimalistic, make use of field-recordings, acoustics, and strong instrumentation. Either way, I'm sure I'll love that, but that's the direction I'd love them to go.
