Attack Attack! Post New Video

2012-01-14 by c0nf1n3d | 78 Comments
Attack Attack! have premiered their new video "The Wretched" on NoiseCreep.

"It was a great experience working with Attack Attack! on this video. We've been friends for a long time, and
it was really fun developing the treatment with them. 'The Wretched' is the first part of a larger story, and
represents a call to arms against the frustrations facing a lot of people in today's society" states Megan
Thompson, director of the video.

"The Wretched" comes from Attack Attack!'s new album, This Means War set to be released
January 17th from Rise Records.

The video, as well as the rest of the article about the video, can be found in the link below:

They should really just ditch the synth's, it adds such unnecessary cheesiness. I mean they'd still be nothing special, but eh.

it isn't horrible but the album is seriously boring. the frontman just constantly does this quiet-talking-to-screaming thing, the djenty riffs all sound the same, the hooks sound the same and it doesn't help that every song begins with 'The'. They're practically indistinctable

His vocals on "The Wretched" reminded me of Brenden Urie(Panic!).

He needs to sing more like that.

The new album definitely has their best material, but it's still average at best. I listened to it entirely and I just got bored and stopped paying attention. The songs are just unoriginal and blend together.

frontman just constantly does this quiet-talking-to-screaming thing

I hate that with this group. It even slightly annoys me when Devin Townsend does it sometimes.

Band sux. Generic verse-chorus, basic chord progressions awful harsh vocals, obviously studio-enhanced chorus vox, awful breakdown. Did not expect more.

I like that they actually integrated the pop chord progression in with the song instead of just cut and pasting heavy and pop together (granted, the breakdown bridge is pretty gimmicky). I think this is a lot of fun, and I dig his vocals.

Now they just need to figure out how to make their next album both creative and not terrible.

I agree with whoever said that if this was how they introduced themselves to the music world, we'd be calling them generic, but I doubt they would have received even HALF the amount of hate they got initially.

The song itself is boring, but at least it's passable. Much better without the auto-tuned cleans.

I wish Caleb didn't change his harsh vocal technique. It sounded a lot better before. But his singing is a huge improvement on the auto-tuned singing from the s/t, obviously.
