Dr. Manhattan start Kickstarter

Dr. Manhattan are planning on re-releasing their first self-titled LP on vinyl but need
help funding the project.

Quote:
"Ladies and gentlemen,
After years of recommendations...Dr. Manhattan's self-titled album is being pressed to
vinyl! - with your help. We've always wanted this idea to come to fruition, so we are
taking
to the internets in order to make this dream a reality. We will press our first full-
length
album to vinyl with the ORIGINAL mix by Jonathan Alvin. We are very proud of this album,
and
we'd love nothing more than to share it on the warmest, most aurally-pleasing medium. 500
copies will be pressed (250 black, 250 white), delicately inserted into 100% recycled
board
jackets (Mother Earth!) inside of printed inner sleeves (damn, doesn't that sound sexy?).
We
have done our best to present you with a list of incentives that would entice you all into
donating to this great cause.
We thank you all for supporting us in the past, present, and future. Any donation helps,
and
we thank you for even taking a minute to check out this page. If you have any questions,
comments, or concerns, please get in touch with us on Facebook
(facebook.com/drmanhattanboots). Let's make this holiday wish come true for a collection
of
songs we put every ounce of energy into, and that you felt some way or another about. See
you in December.
We love you all.
Dman"
They also announced that they are recording new music with Nick Vombrack (Princess
Dinosaur) returning as drummer.

This kickstarter crap is just that. Crap. How about you work your ass off like everyone that came before you? Just more people looking for handouts.

Maybe if they weren't offering anything for the money I would call it a handout...But for $15 you get the lp, a sticker and letter...I don't mind exchanging money for goods

I could have sworn these guys broke up not long ago. I'm not a huge fan of their music, but I will see these guys live every chance I get. Crazy/fun/weird performance

the ones that succeed are always more of a preorder than a 'handout'. Youve clearly never actually used the site.

Love this album, i gave them a decent amount of money I really hope they get the minimum.

"start kickstarter" feels a bit redundant, like, why would you say they are starting to start?
