The Stone Roses reform

2011-10-18 by Dave de Sylvia EMERITUS | 26 Comments
Heralded Manchester rock band the Stone Roses have confirmed that they will reunite for a world tour next summer.

The four original members - Ian Brown, John Squire, Mani and Reni - will perform together for the first time in 15 years when they play back to back shows in Manchester's 70,000-capacity Heaton Park on June 29 and 30.

The group also revealed at a press conference in London that they plan to record new material.

They don't suck, they're just not mindblowingly good or anything close to that.

Their first album was a total classic, and second coming was underrated. Definitely seeing them.

The vast majority of reunions are.

I'm fairly indifferent to this. I like The Stone Roses but think they're wayyy overrated.

They definitely don't suck. I don't feel like seeing them live would be that great though, probably best just to go back and listen to their first record.
