so good, in a totally different way than their first album.
|
| |
nah i think this is absolutely superb
|
| |
And its goooood.
|
| |
my anus is still trembling from the album's awesomeness.
|
| |
also im not a fanboy for this band at all i dont even really know who they are
|
| |
and the lyrics are fucking insanely good
|
| |
more meh from Sputnik's second favorite overrated meh band
|
| |
once I get into the storyline its just gonna get even better
|
| |
Liking this more than 'Somwhere...' which is really saying something
|
| |
theres no riffs
true
1/5
|
| |
St. Paul Missionary Baptist Church Blues fucking rules.
|
| |
yeah man you know me im all about the riffs
|
| |
Absolutely brilliant. I'm surprised to find myself enjoying this more than Major/Minor
|
| |
Albums a 3/5 for me so far. It will probably go higher. Ive only read along to the lyrics of "King Park" and they were fantastic.
|
| |
I do like this band and all, but I really can't listen to them much anymore. Like I respect everything about them, but the vocals especially are pretty grating after a while.
Also the lyrics are fucking great, maybe just a little too "flowery" sometimes.
|
| |
Definitely will give this a spin though
|
| |
Finally caved in and got this
|
| |
Hooray! Off to listen now.
|
| |
this is so boring.....
|
| |
I'm pretty sure Dead Throne got better initial reception than this
|
| |
That's because Dead Throne is better than this
|
| |
i cant wait to listen to this omgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgo omgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomgomg
|
| |
That's because Dead Throne is better than this
surely you jest
|
| |
This is just not that great....
|
| |
I'm at St. Paul now, which is really good
|
| |
i'm not kidding. while dead throne was mindless metalcore, it was still fun to listen to
this isn't even enjoyable in the least
|
| |
Suit yourself. I'm less than halfway through and I love it
|
| |
I gave it a 2.5, it's not terrible, but I can't honestly see myself listening to it again soon
I even wrote a soundoff, which I never do lol
|
| |
Sounds like Touche Amore rubbed off on them a lot.
Which is good. And this is amazing.
|
| |
Seems pretty cool so far.
|
| |
boring!
|
| |
Awful band name.
|
| |
yeah, where are the riffs?
|
| |
hail the riff
srsly though this is aoty
|
| |
Jesus fucking christ. Yeah, sorry, aoty easily.
|
| |
AOTY so far... Oh yes!
|
| |
I put this on my ipod and gave it a listen in the gym this morning...
Had to stop my workout completely and just listen during the end of King Park, holy shit.
Definitely need more listens but this shit is fucking great
|
| |
dead throne is an album made by faggots for faggots. its bland, brings nothing new to the genre, and isnt even like a great record in the genre. fuck it.
excited to listen to this later.
|
| |
"I'm pretty sure Dead Throne got
better initial reception than this"
That's cos this has more expectation attached to it
|
| |
sux
|
| |
Sounds like Touche Amore rubbed off on them a lot [2]
for sure. i love it so far.
|
| |
this is amazing
|
| |
Holy tits, this is good. King Park is a contender for Song of the Year.
|
| |
This is amazing.
|
| |
so riffless.
|
| |
love how the comments here would imply mixed reactions, but this album's current overall score of 4.1 on here says otherwise.
|
| |
Only listened once, but this seems to be quite the album. Probably better then Somewhere.
|
| |
Touche amoré's most influencal band is La Dispute. And they keep saying it on every live show. Touche amore would be nothing without the help of La dispute.
|
| |
And i dont care that you dont care. It's just the truth.
|
| |
both bands suck anyway
|
| |
hmm
this is great, yes, but it doesn't have the variety of sound that their debut had
either way i came
|
| |
something relevant
|
| |
AOTY
|
| |
the fuck is up with all the hate? I haven't heard it yet, but I have no doubt that it will be amazing. I'm seeing these dudes on Sunday and I know it's gonna be awesome because its in a room that only holds about 100 people and the stage is only about a foot off the ground. La Dispute are best in that kind of environment. Back in early 2009 I saw them play at a VFW in Michigan and it was amazing. Nothing beats a floor show in a small space that is packed full of people.
|
| |
awsum
|
| |
I don't like seeing news like this when I'm at work and can't listen, might be leaving early today.
|
| |
"the fuck is up with all the hate? I haven't heard it yet, but I have no doubt that it will be amazing. "
cos hate is never justified
|
| |
Oh man King Park man
|
| |
Hate the singer. Can't get into this. Maybe it will grow on me or something.
|
| |
@ Phideaux
You like mewithoutYou?
if not you will also not like this.
if yes, you will love this!
|
| |
i don't care
|
| |
it's a good thing that most of the people saying this sucks are retarded
otherwise i might have actually shed some tears
|
| |
Didn't enjoy this as much as I thought I would, which is a shame really, probably partly due to expectation as someone else probably mentioned.
|
| |
album is mature and refined. it doesn't rock as hard, but they've been getting less aggressive with each full length so far so i'm not surprised. it's more personal and much smarter. i think it's great. potential to be a 5, needs more listens.
|
| |
@ti0n: I actually love mewithoutYou. I think this just has to grow on me a bit.
|
| |
Sounds like Touche Amore rubbed off on them a lot.
what a silly statement
doesn't have the variety of sound that their debut had
what a backwards statement
|
| |
oh my god this is breathtaking.
|
| |
Okay lemme break it down
-Somewhere had more melodies, and prevalent instrumentation
-It also had a fantasy-esque shakesperian story that was really out there
-This has the vocals in the forefront, which are improved, slightly more dynamic and include some thursday type yells..(seems like everyone is likin that shit nowadays)
-Lyrics are much better, realistic and story-centric
-The lack of any real melodies except on a few songs like harder harmonies, bitter fruit and some others i forget makes it seem like its dragging.
-But Somewhere also undeniably dragged with its lulls in the middle of songs, which are thankfully gone here
-King Park, all our bruised bodies are fucking awesome
-Edit Your Hometown, St. Paul, Safer in the forest, i see everything, a departure, a poem etc are all fucking good too
now stop being gay people
|
| |
so good!
|
| |
now stop being gay people [2]
did you really want them to release the same shit twice
|
| |
did you really want them to release the same shit twice [2]
This. When Harder Harmonies came out people were complaining that they hadn't progressed at all, now the album comes out, with a completely different sound and everyone complains that its not enough like Somewhere. I think people are just looking for something to complain about now.
|
| |
I think people are just looking for something to complain about now.
dingdingdingdingding
|
| |
Yeah, this fucking rules. AOTY. Can't wait to see them tomorrow.
|
| |
did you really want them to release the same shit twice [3]
|
| |
Sounds like Touche Amore rubbed off on them a lot.
Yeah i noticed that too. Pretty sweet if you ask me.
|
| |
album stands up to expectations
|
| |
so it's pretty much the usual retards rating this a 1
|
| |
completely blown away.. but uh, it's what i was expecting. /fangirl
|
| |
This album is great for nap time
|
| |
the lyrics are really all i still enjoy about this band.
|
| |
actually, this is pre boring. king park is one of the best songs of the year, but the album as a whole is kind of a chore to listen to
|
| |
love/hate album/band
|
| |
"so it's pretty much the usual retards rating this a 1"
And it's pretty much the same people that overrate everything after one listen giving this a 5 automatically, right?
|
| |
We Do What We Want
|
| |
La Dispute is suffering from BTBAM syndrome.
|
| |
