AFI survive break-up hoax

AFI have denied they are to break up after a hoax announcement was posted on the band's fan message board.
The short statement posted on the group's Facebook said: "AFI did not break up. That's not Dave. The band haven't broken up. Someone is just screwing around. We repeat, AFI is not breaking up!"
Earlier today, a post on the Despair Faction message board, appearing to be authored by frontman Davey Havok, suggesting that the band were to go their separate ways.
The bogus announcement read: "This is the end. Sorry, but AFI is done.
"After more than 15 years of being together, we as a band have decided to disband A.F.I.
"Me and Jade will still continue the Blaqk Audio project but there will be no more A.F.I albums or shows. We have matured and have other things in life that we would like to attend to. Please forgive us for the random statement but it was something we were thinking of for a while."
No explanation has been offered for the mix-up though it is presumed Havok's account was compromised.

Wow, missed this post on their forum.
Oh well, good to see they're still together. Their live show was always tons of fun, even if their past two albums weren't quite as good as their earlier stuff.
