solid single i guess. nothing spectacular imo

This... is strange. The repeated lines at the beginning are far more pop-ish than anything Amy Lee has done before. Her voice is still great, but it really makes me wish she would have gone in a harder hitting direction for the album.
| |
Guilty pleasure band so I'll check it out soon.
| |
this sucked
| |
so boring
| |
Oh hooray
| |
It took 20 seconds to realize that WATF >>>>>Evanescence should they try to put anything new out. Song is meh..
| |
uhn tss uhn tss
| |
average
| |
such a great voice being squandered
put her in a better band and get somebody else to write her melodies
| |
this kind of reminded me of nickelback a little in the beginning.
that's NOT a good thing.
| |
haven't heard from these guys in a while
never liked them much though
| |
Know who likes Evanescence... my wife who has been listening to pop radio her entire life, that's who. On the other hand she introduced me to Spektor so she's not all bad.
| |
Sounds like they ripped off Nightwish with the vocal melody in that "hello hello remember me" part. Can't remember which song it sounds like, but it had Tarja on vocals.
| |
>:3
| |
I won't even listen. I'll just sit here and chuckle a while.
| |
User who posted this news item basically admitted to all of us he's been keeping up on this band for a while haha nice
I'm just teasing, this band has some good hits and her voice is nice. Surprisingly solid single though, might have to wait and keep an eye on this. I've never been motivated enough to hear an entire album though.
| |
Meh
| |
so heavy omg
| |
Song is really poppy... meh.
| |
WAKE ME UP INSIDE
| |
Also this band is a guilty pleasure for literally everyone i think
| |
everyone except everyone
| |
I'm straight off Evanescence.
| |
NOOOO!! I was waiting to hear this 4ev3r
| |
I can't believe they made this song the lead single.
| |
That link doesn't work but this one does - http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qoJpLruXMq4

Ben Moody made this band. Fuck this.

| |

| |
Not all that bad, better then average Evanescence.
| |
Not as bad as I thought it was going to be
| |
She has got a nice voice.
| |
Song title is pretty mainstream rock-ish
not expecting much
| |
If I were fifteen, I would probably be completely in love with this and would spend the next couple of months obsessively counting down to October 11 while scrawling the lyrics to this song all over my arms in black Sharpie.
Luckily, I'm not fifteen.
| |
Wow, this is the worst thing they've ever done.
| |
It sounds poppy because of the producer... can't stand his bland style.
| |
ugh, this band
| |
Yeah this is miserable
| |
double post miserable
| |
boooooooooring.
| |
fucking terrible
| |
why is everyone so surprised that EVANESCENCE put out a poppy song
| |
I don't know. Really wish they would leave the mainstream and try making some real music. Stop wasting that awesome voice
| |
This song is no longer available due to a copyright claim >_> damnit Even if it was mediocre I would have still liked to hear it. The first album is OK at the very least
| |
solid 2/5
| |
Why do people keep saying that Amy has a good voice? Anyone ever heard her live? It's freaking terrible, almost torture. So you can deduce that she's using a lot of auto tune. There are just a few songs I like from when they went "big time". They were better before they went big time. Ironically, their best CD was their demo, and it had some major problems. As for this single and the subsequent album that will follow, I'm really not surprised that they've finally hit utter rock bottom.

Wikipedia:
Lee told Billboard and Rolling Stone that the new album was influenced by Björk, Depeche Mode, Massive Attack, MGMT and Portishead.
*listens to song again*
