Cool imagery, but the way it was animated and edited looks like it's the work of an amateur Flash artist. It's like it was done under a very short deadline.
I do like the song though~
Kind of a cool video, but this band is boooring.
^^ agree with that.
One of the few good songs of their latest album.
lol that worm creature cried. lol
Digging: Against Me! - As the Eternal Cowboy
Sick video, sick song, sick band.
Even after looking up the lyrics, I still had no idea what half of those images were supposed to represent.
Still, cool video.
"One of the few good songs of their latest album"
you mean the BEST song BY FAR from an average/ok album. video is pretty cool
"you mean the BEST song BY FAR from an average/ok album. video is pretty cool"
yeah, why not?!
Great song off an album I guess I enjoyed more than most. Video is awesome, really funky.
Easily the best song from the new album and a really great live song as well. Video was interesting.
Into the void's main problem is that it sounds like a collection of Character's and Fiction b-sides.
Yeah pretty much, with the keyboard presence increased tenfold. I'm willing to be they'll learn, though, because I think the album had kind of a lukewarm reception in general.
Yeah, definitely not the same praise Character or Damage Done got.
It's time for them to explore new stuff, or rexplore older stuff at least. I wouldn't mind the next album to more in the vein of Projector. :P
Or The Gallery ;)
Projector, Character, and Haven are their best albums in my opinion, although Character is close behind them.
Digging: BT - ESCM
The Gallery all the way
I actually liked this album but this song was definitely the highlight.
I love this band, the best of the melodeath acts by miles.
I wouldn't mind some The Gallery influences either. :D
I love "We Are the Void." The entire album kicks ass. Dreamflight: You said that it sounds like a collection of B-sides from the past few albums. Well, I guess I can agree with that because the bonus songs from those albums were just as good as the songs that made it on the albums.
It was far and away the weakest album they've released.
I think it's a big compliment for any band if their weakest album is still good and enjoyable.
Their weakest album (We Are The Void) sucks total ass
Nah it's not complete garbage
I'd prob give it 2/5, but I've only heard it twice. I wish Projector wasn't so overlooked here.
Character was great but is very overrated.
Character is probably their best album, you guys are nuts.
I'd take Fiction or Damage Done over Character any day of the week.
Character is probably their best album
Never before have I witnessed someone that doesn't think that The Gallery is their best album
Difference of opinion I guess, Kyle. Personally I think Fiction is a very weak album, marred because of a few bad tracks and a lot of average ones. Nothing really stands out to me and it seems like their worst tendencies come out on that and We Are The Void.
Thomas - I love The Gallery but they matured greatly beyond that point.
Personally I think Fiction is a very weak album, marred because of a few bad tracks and a lot of average ones.
Funny, I think the same about Character ;)
Every song on Fiction is ace imo
Good one Darkwatch025 :D
But seriously, Into the void was really boring, still far from being awful.
Tyraelxy: Projector > The Gallery :P
"Projector > The Gallery :P"
Digging: Mother Mallard's Portable Masterpiece Co. - Like a Duck to Water
Moar The Gallery or the Minds Eye plox.
Projector is underrated. Those clean sung songs are fucking incredible.
I dont remember any song on this album being any good but this was decent.
Digging: Sophia - People are like seasons
Auctioned and The Sun Fired Blanks, at the very least.
"Projector is underrated. Those clean sung songs are fucking incredible."
Yep, pretty much.
song's pretty cool, video blows though :]
album wasn't awful or anything, just real average
which imo is forgivable given the number of quality releases they've had over the years
"album wasn't awful or anything, just real average"
Egh i wouldnt say that, WATV was a good album compared to most metal, but it really just was a below average album for DT so it gets worse flak then it should, it is by far their worst but i wouldnt call it bad.
The video was weird at first but it does tie together with the lyrics pretty well after seeing it a few times, Niklas Sundin is a genius
