Christie Front Drive Reunite
2011-06-24 by Iamthe Nightstars | 14 Replies | 2387 Views

Influential midwest emo outfit Christie Front Drive will reunite to play a show in their hometown of Denver, Colorado at the Larimer Lounge on August 28th.

The band released two albums before disbanding in May of 1996. However, they reunited in 2007 to play another show in Denver. The band posted a message on their Facebook regarding this next reunion show:

"Even though the upcoming show is being promoted as a "reunion" show, we wouldn't necessarily consider it as such. Think of us as a band that likes to take long hiatuses."

Now we just need American Football and Mineral to reunite and we'll be good.

Chris Christie and Jared From Subway should put out an indie pop album. They could call it Two Obese Americans Politically Divided.

I posted this as news like two months ago. I even made a list about it because my news article didn't go through. I guess what I'm trying to get at is that I won.

the reasoning behind which news items gets through and which ones don't seems to be pretty arbitrary

Never heard of them, but that's pretty sweet. I love when semi-unknown bands get back together, gives me something new to get into.

They're like the most influential midwest emo band that doesn't have a Kinsella in there somewhere. Don't quote me on that, I don't listen to the genre much.
