A reunion from these guys would be interesting. Dime was good, but is he really this completely irreplaceable majesty of a guitarist? Come on.

they took a riff out of that song and reused it in "this love". Dime Bag knew what was up.

So he came up with the Floods outro and like 15 cool and unique riffs. Awesome. Band could still reunite and be viable without him.

You may think that Dimebag is replaceable but their fans consider him a heavy metal legend and would shit bricks if they replaced him (which they'll never do). The only thing I ever see happening is maybe a few reunion shows or something where they get several big name guitarists to do a few songs each.

Other than boo-fucking-hoo I really don't know what to say. Shitting bricks because a band you're a fan of is back together and making new music with a different guitarist? Kinda silly.

(which they'll never do).

As a person, yes.
As a guitarist, no, absolutely not.

If Anselmo wasn't an asshole, a tribute show with different guest guitarists would be cool to see. Never gonna happen though. Anyway, cool song. I hope there's more unreleased material to come if they are all of this quality.

As a matter of fact, Anselmo has gone out of his way many times in the past few years since Dime died trying to make amends. It is Vinnie who doesn't want anything to do with him.

And although Vinnie is a better drummer than Phil is a vocalist, Down is miles better than Hellyeah

Vinnie Paul is absolutely not an overrated drummer. I consider him one of the most influential drummers in metal. Any track off Far Beyond Driven could prove that.

The only person who Vinnie and Phil would be able to agree on is the same one 90% of fans would agree with, in terms of a re-union/memorial tour.

Zack Wylde. He already agreed to do it when Dime died too.

I don't think Dimebag was the greatest guitarist, but I don't think anyone can reproduce his style.

I agree with that. I mean, the riffs that Dimebag wrote for their songs don't necessarily sound too complex, but the composition of the songs with all the riffs in the song is something that I think would be hard to convey with someone else playing guitar. Granted, I am sure that he wasn't the sole part of the writing when it came to their music, but he had the heart/the drive/the passion within Pantera's music that to find someone to replace him would be hard. Passion trumps technicality in my opinion. Sure, they could find someone, but it won't have as much heart as what Pantera did with him.
