Blackbird was pretty enjoyable, but I bet this will be a step down. Look at some of those song titles. Ugh.

Their song titles have never been their biggest strength. Blackbird had plenty of generic song titles and we all know how much I love that album.

That said, a few of these have me worried a bit, particularly 7 and 8.

That's what I mean, those of Blackbird may have been generic, but some of these are just plain horrible, most of the second half makes me cringe.

IMO, Blackbird was a dissappointment. I thought their first album was WAYYY better. Although, right around the time Blackbird came out, i kinda stopped listened to them, so maybe i just grew out of them...

I probably will check this out, though.

I liked the first album slightly more than Blackbird too.

@Rom: Kennedy pushed back his solo album to early 2011. But I'm curious, do you really not like Mark Tremonti's work in Alter Bridge? I know there's the whole Creed history, but his guitarwork is as big of a draw to the band as Kennedy's vocals. Just wondering.

Despite the previous "new album" rumors, I actually thought they were not gonna release a new album anytime soon with bloody Creed reforming and Myles' solo stuff. Now i cant wait.

These guys are one of the few bands in modern rock worth listening to.

A good friend of mine is a big fan, so I'll inevitably end up hearing this I think. Band is interesting to me mostly for Tremonti to be completely honestly.

14 songs is a long album, hopefully there isn't a bunch of filler.

Don't know why people joke about how bad Alter Bridge is, there's genuinely nothing wrong with them. I can see the hate for, say Creed and Disturbed, but with Alter Bridge there's nothing to really complain about.

I call it jock rock because it plays on the radio and at my high school in weight training

It will be good, this is their only outlet for experimentation. They aren't going to ruin it by making an album of singles, they don't do that.

While I don't dislike an album of good singles, that's clearly not AB's thing. They actually said somethin that sound like what you said about experimental. Let's hope they keep the harmony between experimental and consistency.

Basically they went from Great Comatose to Average Awake. That's what I fear with AB. Or with any band
on that matter.

Don't be too worried man, Tremonti didn't waste anything good on that pathetic new Creed album, so basically everything cool he has come up with since Blackbird will most likely be on this.

I heard from someone around here that Tremonti is just a showman. I can't express how much I disagree
with that. Maybe it's me, just a rookie, you see, but I think the guy is one of the most tallented
guitarists i've ever seen.

Whoever said that was a moron, he is definitely one of the best guitarists of the last 15 years.

The Blackbird solo gives me chills every time.

The artwork looks decent. Not as cool as Blackbird but whatever.
