I Am Ghost have recently called it quits, via a blog on myspace. Also in the blog, the band
thanks their fans, management, past band members, and bands that have toured with them, and
they also provide pictures that act as a timeline of the bands short history.
I may be harsh on their two latest releases, but the love I have for their EP and first album greatly overcomes all of that. This isn't right, I was actually excited to see about the new album they were planning on releasing. For the longest time, I Am Ghost has been there, and now they aren't. It's heartbreaking.
Everything since the EP has been awful, they made the right move
i liked this one song a lot, but i don't remember the name.
it's beyond the hourglass
Kind of sucks, but I understand it. I liked Lovers' Requiem but the last album was just awful.
No idea who this is
You know I didn't like the second album... but I was hoping... that maybe...
and nothing of value was lost
I Am Ghost wasn't a great band but I personnaly think they have potential. I hope we'll hear things from them in future projects.
Digging: Junior Battles - Junior Battles
i remember them
kinda sucks i guess
Steven Juliano is a bitchin vocalist and his live performance is kickass. Timoteo is also a great guitarist. Despite lack of good songs they're a decent bunch of talented musicians, sucks.
Shame. I remember liking a couple of their songs. Can't remember which, though.
Lovers Req was awesome, as was the EP, but after the unbelievably bad quality of the follow-ups it was about time this happened
Getting rid of their violinist was the death of them really.
Digging: Thank You Scientist - Maps of Non-Existent Places
I would have been sad three years ago.
I'm sad now just because I've been listening to the old album a ton lately
hmmm i played a show with these dudes and they kinda sucked
I don't even know.
I vaguely remember this band.
Saw them open for Bleeding Through a few years back.
the artwork for those we leave behind makes me glad this happened
Lovers' Reqiuem was an awesome album so I'm disappointed by this news. They wouldn't have gone back to that style though so I don't think I should care too much.
Digging: Raum - The Event of Your Leaving
Lovers Requiem was fantastic, everything since was a pile of wank. Good choice I think.
Probably about time they called it quits. They had some good stuff on their first two releases, but that was it.
EP and Lovers' Requiem were honestly incredible. They should have quit when Kerith did, though.
I guess getting excluded from the Twilight: Eclipse compilation was the last straw
did they still have that asshole 4 foot tall bitch of a singer? fuck that dude.
Band was okay, nothing special. I am unaffected
Digging: Culprate - Colours
This band was garbage.
Digging: Skynet - The Wild
We Are Always Searching was good; unlike other "scene"-image bands, they had some interesting stuff (i.e. that violinist, capable guitarists, dual male/female vox). Newer CDs kinda sucked. Oh well. RIP
I am broken up
Digging: Waxahatchee - American Weekend
Goddamn it, this sucks. I'm going to miss this band. They may have changed after their first EP and album, but I never stopped enjoying them.
i am space ghost.
4 foot vocalist? Violinist? Semi-attractive chick? Sounds like my kinda band! I missed this freakshow bus.
saw them some months ago and they were pretty amazing live tbh. very professional and heartfelt performance.
'Steven Juliano is a bitchin vocalist and his live performance is kickass. Timoteo is also a great guitarist. Despite lack of good songs they're a decent bunch of talented musicians, sucks.'
Well they didn't have much going on after LR, too bad.
They should have changed their name, cause they basically weren't the same band after LR.
Sad i never saw them live.
yeah, their EP was the bomb, as well as Lover's Requiem.
i didnt listen to anything after that, because of the amount of negativity around them afterwards.
sucks, but it is inevitable for all things.
First album was good, when kerith? and her husband (whatever his name was) left the band they lost what made them special, and the remaining ingredients were mediocre at best.
I never really liked this band, they could write some good riffs
werent they like gothic?
Like a bunch of people have already said: Lovers Requiem was good, but their recent stuff has been crappy. I wasn't really expecting any more worthwhile material out of them, so I guess this is alright. At least LR wont get buried under any more shit.
That was the one thing that stood out for me when I saw them open for Bleeding Through...
It's about time!
RIP I Am Ghost.
