Devastator sounded sick, Seraphim was an alright track. Can't wait for this new album though!

The guitar line reminded me a lot of ABR in the beginning. Then it's just your basic death/metalcore. :

but the chorus was stuck in my head all day
and it grew on mez.

Half the song is a breakdown.

because it's metalcore done right, which doesn't happen very often nowadays. for today has a very unique sound going for them. check out their other new song devastator, pretty awesome. but yes... there will always be breakdowns in metalcore, get used to it or dont listen to it.

For Today has always been a breakdown-whoring band. Not to say they don't do it well. If you're not a fan of breakdowns, I understand. I happen to love breakdowns, especially well executed ones, and For Today has always been pretty good at execution. (But not really

dammit they should just ditch the boring monotonous breakdowns and stick with the trippy lead work....liked their last album (despite the excessive breakdowns) but this new song is definitely MEH.

i like this one, but i think i like devastator more. the intro is awesome.
