not the biggest Sage fan, but the song was cool

Pretty cool song.
Just discovered personal journals a few weeks ago and i really like it
|
| |
Solid song.

yeah, song's pretty good but Sage is one of the most overrated emcee's in all of underground hip hop. then again, I guess he's not so underground anymore.
|
| |
I don't think he's overrated anymore, either. Five years ago, sure, but he's already gone through a full cycle of being underrated, appreciated, overrated and after the backlash i think he's pretty neutral now.

yeah I'll agree with that. I was still thinking in the mindset of like 2005-2006 when Human the Death Dance came out. Or was that 2007... doesn't matter either way I guess.

Post Non-Prophets is when the hype went a little crazy. I think it died down by the time Healthy Distrust came out.
|
| |
fair enough. His albums always have a few songs that wow me, and then a bunch that just annoy me. Crack Pipes and Makeshift Patriot are two damn fine cuts though.

alubm
Sage is great, will check this out

WIN!

This song made my day
|
| |
Decent track. Kind of sounds like Gavin Castleton.
|
| |
coalesce, the two used to play together and gavin used to help make sage beats
so the two are very connected
|
| |
sage may have the best record label right now.

"Sage is one of the most overrated emcee's in all of underground hip hop"
