I would have been sad about this a year or two ago, but their last 2 releases have been a big disappointment so I think it is in their best interest that they call it quits. (although, they were good live) Hopefully they will continue making new music in different projects.

Saw em with tera melos and horse the band, was a pretty badass show. Their early stuff really got me to expand my musical horizons quite a bit, so it's kinda sad in a way. They just happened to be one of the first super, guitar-wanking, technical post hardcore, or whatever they'd be classified as, bands that I was ever turned onto, so it's kind of a bummer to see em burn out. Cheers dudes.

Erak =/= the talented one. He plays fast pull-offs, and learned a few scales. He was an awful vocalist, a gimmicky (but still cool) guitar player, and one of the biggest disappointments as a songwriter I can think of.

Andrew is really good though, he could end up doing something excellent.

Manipulator was a good album, I never saw the hate for it.
Ghostship Demos sucked because he replaced all the good screaming with what he thought was good singing.

And ITUE needs no explanation.

This is both a blessing and a tragedy. I have spent countless hours listening to their first two albums and their demos. I have also spent countless hours wanting to shoot myself over Manipulator and ITUE. I was hoping to see them stick around and put out a redemption album of sorts but it is probably better that they broke up so as to not dig a whole any deeper for themselves. I look forward to seeing them in Lawrence really soon as one last final hurrah!
