I think I just came a few times.

Omfg at American tour.
|
| |
New Tomahawk album? That's a pleasant surprise, i thought they were done.
'Mike Patton has even let loose that he is working on a new project dubbed "Lovage"'
just saw this... Lovage is not a new project, they've already released an album. Pretty bad journalism
if that magazine didn't know this
|
| |
"which covers nothing, but 50, and 60's Italian pop songs" haha interesting
|
| |
^The Mondo Cane album has been in the works for a LONG time, the album keeps getting pushed back. Look for the live performances on youtube, they're cool.
|
| |
New Lovage yesssss.
|
| |
That's awesome, Mike Patton's the man.
|
| |
The live performances are awesome, cant wait for the album.
Word of warning in advance: When the article concerning US tour dates come out I will probably have a caps attack.
|
| |
Corrected it.
I found the Lovage thing odd as well
and yes, I have very wet pants right now.
The only day this day could get better was an announcement for a new Faith No More album.
|
| |
super cool. the mondo cane performances are great.
|
| |
Will be seeing them in exactly 32 hours.
|
| |
Who?
|
| |
Yeah Im so excited for the mondo cane release. Never really could like FNM though, but I love Patton, so the tour wouldn't do anything for me
|
| |
Almost forgot about this ha
|
| |
the magazine went on to ask Patton his opinion of wolfmother
www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZKDvJTxZDbA
|
| |
music genius...more like man who jerks his vocal cords off on the reg and is impossible to listen to for a full album...stupid idea...

Your profile picture is Cedric Bixler-Zavala.
|
| |
Will be seeing them in exactly 32 hours
Saw them 168 hours ago Davey lol
|
| |
Both Cedric and Patton get on my nerves but I would rather go with Patton
|
| |
and? Patton was good with DEP, that's about it, then he pukes...
|
| |
and patton doesn't have a kiosk in his temporal lobe shaped like rosalyn carter...
|
| |
Can't wait for Mondo Cane. L'Urlo Negro and Yeeah! are just great.
|
| |
look at this guy.. who took that picture?
|
| |
Hope FNM is enjoying their reunion enough for new music. Been waiting on those US dates and it's killing me -FLASHBACK- f yeah new Tomahawk.
|
| |
Look for a new guitar player and bring back Mr. Bungle!
|
| |
man i was waiting for mondo cane all last year. i hope it doesnt get pushed back again
|
| |
someguest, i c u still take the internets fo srs...
|
| |
"will shut the fuck up"
wow, that might be the first time i've agreed with someguest
|
| |
wow
|
| |
New Faith No More album please.
|
| |
Just getting into Mike Patton. Can anyone suggest the band and album to begin with? Keep in mind that I don't like Faith No More's "You Want It All But You Can't Have It"
|
| |
Try the Perfect Place Soundtrack or Angel Dust.
That song is called 'Epic' by the way, and it's nothing like the stuff on Angel Dust or the rest of
Faith's work.
|
| |
I'd rather see some American FNM no dates but eh, whatever. Most anything with Patton is good if not interesting.
|
| |
Tomahawk ftw.
|
| |
"Look for a new guitar player and bring back Mr. Bungle"
retarded idea, considering Spruance was the genius of that band
|
| |
Masturbating right now.
|
| |
all of this is great news. however, I'm still waiting for a new FNM or Bungle album. Also -- is this announcing a US tour for Mondo Cane or Faith No More?
|
| |
Faith No More.
|
| |
"I'm still waiting for a new FNM or Bungle album"
A Mr Bungle reunion is EXTREMELY unlikely, so may as forget about that. As for FNM, i read a Patton interview where he pretty much said that they're afraid of tarnishing the bands legacy by releasing sub-standard new material. I kind of wish they'd do an EP or something though, you know it'd be awesome.
|
| |
yeah, Bungle's just wishful thinking, but I do think a new FNM EP would be awesome. I'd assume it would be more in the style of Angel Dust or KFAD rather than TRT or AotY.
|
| |
Too bad Jon Hudson isn't exactly the most creative guitarist in the world
|
| |
Nope, and Jim Martin's never coming close to Mike Patton again. Nor is Spruance if I'm not mistaken.
|
| |
What happened between them and Patton?
|
| |
This is an interview with Trey Spruance. He basically explains why he doesn't like Patton.
http://www.markprindle.com/spruance-i.htm
|
| |
wow that was pretty quick, nice work poop
|
| |
http://newfaithnomore.com/2010/02/25/parental-advisory-mike-patton-gets-his-junk-out-photo/
Hahahahah, only Mike Patton could get away with something like this.
|
| |
Yeah I really wish they had a guy with better chops than Hudson. I love Jim Martin's guitar playing but oh well.
|
| |
wow, if you read further down in that Spruance interview he talks about what changed with FNM once Martin left the band (resulting in the different sounds found on the last two records). It really explains everything I wondered about after going from Angel Dust to KFAD... and why I disliked that album for so long.
I also agree with what he said about Martin and that he fit so well in the band. He was content in the back ground playing palm-muted power chords when the keys/bass/drums wanted to do their groovey thing -- which was the strongest element of their sound on Introduce Yourself, The Real Thing and Angel Dust. That's the element that's largely missing on the last two albums -- especially King For A Day.
|
| |
Yeah it's a great interview. Prindle's interviews are always good actually
|
| |
Retarded idea, considering Spruance was the genius of that band
Patton and Dunn were the masterminds, you dimwit.
|
| |
A new Bungle album without Spruance WOULD be retarded, and i think most people would agree with that sentiment.
Patton definitely wasn't the mastermind either. Know what you're talking about before you start spewing bullshit.
|
| |
Bungle wouldn't sound like Bungle without Spruance, that pretty basic knowledge.
|
| |
"Patton and Dunn were the masterminds, you dimwit"
o hai there, Mike Patton fanboy
|
| |
If you don't like Mike Patton you're undeniably gay.
|
| |
I like Patton but i don't automatically assume that he's the creative genius behind each band he's
involved in (as his fanboys always claim) , because that just isn't true.
Tomahawk, for example. That's Duane Dennisons band.
|
| |
^well, that's true
EDIT: ugh, that was meant for Palace, but both statements are fact
|
| |
The ego-driven quarrel between Spruance and Patton make a veritable reunion impossible, and I agree that Mr. Bungle would not be the same without Spruance. However, other members like McKinnon and Dunn -- the latter who plays with both Patton and Spruance in Fantômas and SC3 respectively -- are stoical to such feud. So, why cannot those who feel comfortable with a reunion join forces once again? FNM did it.
@GlueyPorch2
I know what I am talking about. I have been listening to Mr. Bungle for a long time, some of which, particularly the mid and late 90's, you might have spent jumping on your couch while watching Korn videos, or perhaps going to Ozzfest.
|
| |
"So, why cannot those who feel comfortable with a reunion join forces once again?"
Because, and i'll repeat it again, as you're a little slow on the uptake, Spruance was an integral part of the band and a Bungle reunion without him would be fucking pointless.
"FNM did it"
FNM's last two albums were made without Jim Martin so it isn't really a fair comparison. Besides, he wasn't as important to FNM as Spruance was to Mr Bungle.
"I know what I am talking about"
Not really, but you made a good effort and i'm proud of you for that.
|
| |
^ Honestly dude, are YOU Trey Spruance?
|
| |
If you don't like Mike Patton you're undeniably gay. Mike Patton's my favorite contemporary vocalist and I'm undeniably gay.
So uhhhhh what now? =o
|
| |
"Every rule has an exception," so they say.
|
| |
I think a Mr.Bungle album would be pointless, California topped all their work and they went out on a pretty high note. Bringing them back would only lead to disappointment. Faith No More is a different story because Album of the Year, was their worst work, and Patton (and everyone else) needed time to get some creative juices flowing. I think that if they were to release any new material it would easily top Album of the Year, but I don't think it'd top Angel Dust, because that's like Converge trying to top Jane Doe, they can come close, they can even produce a damn near amazing flawless album, but it still wouldn't beat Jane Doe.
Just saying.
|
| |
Converge topped Jane Doe back in '96.
|
| |
^^ hilarious
