It's debatable. Cocaine has higher addictive potential but the withdrawl from alcoholism is the only detox that can actually kill you. It is obviously sad that a person passes away because low self-esteem and other demons, which are mostly fueled by the need to fit some ridiculous Hollywood stereotype. However, many people die everyday in Nigeria, Burundi, Uganda, and South Africa because homophobia; in Darfur because the Arab oppression of black Africans; and in Colombia because the drug dealing business, highly promoted by first-world countries (i.e. the main consumers). These are just a few modern conflicts. The point is that these victims do not get as much attention as they should, that is, the same or more than a Hollywood celebrity. I know I am being naive and off-topic as fuck, but I find this situation aggravating.

In fact, yes. People need to realize that life is full of choices. She, if the rumors are true, chose to abuse a very dangerous drug that causes heart failure. Anyone who wasn't a celebrity wouldn't have gotten any attention or sympathy for their selfish choices. Therefore, mourning the death of someone who kills themselves only facilitates others to doing the same when they see the sympathy that they so desire. So by the very definition of "enabling", you are doing exactly that.
