Hypocrisy Album Details

2009-07-16 by Dave de Sylvia EMERITUS | 17 Comments
Swedish death metal group Hypocrisy will release their new album A Taste Of Extreme Divinity for public consumption on October 23.

Frontman Peter Tägtgren said: "Hey, it's about time for an update now. We have a title for the new album now: A Taste Of Extreme Divinity! I`m at the end of the recording n mixing, a few songs left to sing on. The rest are done mixingwise..

"It's just been too busy with touring and recording bands, and I didn't wanna burn myself out totally. We're happy of the result so far, it got everything a Hypo album should have in our own point of view.

"We will release it October 23rd and start touring in the USA Nov 5th, supporting Ensiferum, then in January 2010 we do a headline tour in Europe, after that we'll try to hit rest of the world, stay tuned for more updates in a few weeks!"

The background of the cover kind of reminds me of Whoracle.

Fuckin right.
Just the other day, I was thinking "Hypocrisy is about due for another album," and what'd ya know!
Virus is a tough album to follow, but they can pull it off.
And why the fuck are they supporting ensiferum!?!?!?
I feel like they always end up being an opener on a tour that they could support. They've been around for 20 fucking years, god dammit!!
