Anchor & Braille Album News

Anberlin frontman Stephen Christian (under the moniker Anchor and Braille) will release his first solo album, entitled Felt, on August 4 via his own Universal imprint Wood Water Records.

The project began as a collaboration with Copeland's Aaron Marsh. The latter removed his name from the project in its early stages, but stayed on to produce and mix the album. Felt has been likened by Christian to "exploring a museum at night with all the lights off." He continued: "There are moments of mastery on this record, and the closer you study the lyrics, songs, & ethereal layers the more beauty and enjoyment you will get out of it."

Lead single 'Like Steps In A Dance' is available to stream in full at Spin.com.

For sure. Any of Anberlin's acoustic tracks are usually the highlight for me (minus Breathe, which is... bad), so I can't imagine this not being great.

And the album art rules.
