Not too shabby musically, I liked the jazz solo. The video was awesome however.

Not heavy enough for death metal The not-heaviness of the guitars combined with the not-deathgrowling makes this sound more like metalcore to me :/ I liked their old vocalist better.

Yeah, that is kind of odd. It has a higher key tone than most metal of this...type. Still sounds like Daath though and they chords are kind of cool. The old vocalist stood out to me (at least on recording) because he had a visceral voice, it had this weird sound like it was heavily salivated and in turn had this almost carcass effect. When I saw them with Naglfar, he sounded like this guy though, I think. Also, Kevin Talley cut his hair?

I read the title as Death and was like OH MAN, SOME KIND OF WIZARD SHIT. Then I realised it was Daath.

I had never heard of these guys until they had a feature article in the new issue of Guitar World. It was actually a funny article...it talked about how the two guitarists didn't like eachother at first because one was a straight chug riffer and the other was all about the glam rock guitar work.
I will check this out as soon as I get the chance.
