Lapalco, because if you like that, The Alternative To Love wouldn't disappoint at all

Any of those 2 that has more of a rough, heavier feeling to it?

Honestly haven't heard them both in awhile, but I'm pretty sure Alternative To Love is more poppy than Lapalco... but both are catchy and have really great melodies
But then again, maybe you should just start with his debut, One Mississippi. There are lot of great songs and probably my favorite of all is "Sittin' Pretty"
