Going to listen right now, hope I'll draw the same conclusion but best of 2009 seems hard to accomplish.

this is fucking great. another band that can pull death metal influences into their metalcore without being "deathcore".

There's a lot of cookie cutter gothenburg influenced riffs here, but there's also a lot of genuinely badass material here too. Love love love the first solo in The Tides.

I'm on the third song and I'm gonna say I like this more than Deliver Us so far.
Will probably be tied for my metal record of the year with WITTR until Oh, Sleeper's new record comes out.

It's not as memorable as Deliver Us is but was more solid throughout if you ask me. Hidden Hands of a Sadist Nation is my favorite from them anyway, this could be second.

Needs review. Is good so far but Undoing Ruin and Sadist Nations are my favorites.

Undoing Ruin ruins following DH records, that is not to say they were bad either.

Tranquil and Sound the Surrender are great, the rest of the album is so boring though. I don't get why it's the general favorite Darkest Hour album. It just sounds like an average American metal band making a cookie-cutter gothenberg style album.

These Fevered Times is pretty kickass.

Tranquil and Sound The Surrender are sweet meat. Both contain my favourite Kris Norris solos, however The Mark Of The Judas is my favourite DH song.

This album slays, but doesn't quite meet the epicness of Deliver Us. Lonestar is a solid replacement for Norris.

Wow...go read their bio. They REALLY talk themselves up. Apparently they're mythically huge and basically inspired the metalcore movement.

I'd like In Flames to take influence from this band that took influence from them

Undoing is not only my favorite DH album, but one of my favorite all time albums. Thousand Words, This Will Outlive Us, Sound the Surrender, Low, and these Fevered Time are all epic. Not to mention, Convalescence, which turned out to be a pretty good mainstream radio track.

I hope this is better than Deliver Us, which I liked, but not nearly as much as Undoing. Pretty stoked to hear it.
