Void of Silence Lose Vocalist 2009-04-17 by Trey STAFF | 9 Comments | Doom/Post Metal band Void of Silence have had to part ways with vocalist Alan "Nemtheanga" Averill due to his prior commitments to Primordial. They are currently seeking a replacement. A Message from the remaining members states:
"Void of Silence was forced to let Alan go to be able to continue. Alan's full-time engagement in Primoridal increasingly prevented Void of Silence from completing the brand new album, scheduled for autumn 2009 on Code666.
"We are looking for a versatile, creative individual (man or woman) with high motivation and a capability of singing in different styles, from strong clean singing to all ranges of grunts, growls and shrieks.
"If you feel you might be the one, please send your demo or email to singer@voidofsilence.com."
With the loss of Alan, this is now the second vocalist to depart the band.

Someone needs to because this is a pretty good band. It seemed like they were going to break into something big on this next album. Hopefully their new vocalist will be a little more diverse. Alan relied a little too much on spoken word parts on their last album.

No big loss, their music didn't really capture his voice anyways. I'll take a new Prim ordial over a new VOD anyday. Now what would be interesting is if they pick up up dual female/male vocalists.

This is a huge shame I don't think they'll find a vocalist as good as Nemtheanga
