Slash Issues Solo CD Update

2009-04-17 by archerparadise | 24 Comments
Current Velvet Revolver and former Guns N' Roses guitarist Slash has once again posted an update on the progress of his upcoming solo album. Ozzy Osbourne is also scheduled to appear on the forthcoming solo album.

Slash states, "Hey, hope you had a rock and Roll Easter weekend! We've nailed 4 killer tracks with 4 amazing vocals so far and nailing another one Tues, so things are going extremely well. Everybody who has contributed vocals so far have been flawless and the rhythm section, Josh Freese and Chris Chaney are priceless. Eric Valentine is a genius producer, not to mention, his team is great.

All in all this last couple of weeks have been a hell a lot of fun and we're just getting started. its definitely going to be a kick ass record, if I do say so myself."

During Snakepit days 80s hard rock was pretty much dead. I hope with the new promotion tactics he's learnt over the years, the cd sells well.
I just heard his new mastered version of godfather theme on myspace. It lacks a soul.

So... he says it's going to be kick ass. Does that necessarily mean anything?

If you were making a solo album, I'm pretty sure you would be excited too. It's good to see him get so into the creation of this instead of shooting up heroin or something.

I'm waiting for the obligatory, "This is the heaviest material I've done yet!" comment.

Do you think slash wrote the rythm sections, or did josh and chris? If he wrote them, why wouldn't he just record them himself? Is it because they are better rythm players than him? Maybe.

I think this will be successful.

The addition of Josh Freese had me tempted, but then I remembered GNR, so no

Josh Freese is in the rhythm section, so at least one thing will be great. Chris Cheney too.
