well this is a surprise. yeah i never checked out stand up but i've enjoyed every other album so this is exiting. too bad moore won't be on the album. i'll miss that guy. loved his sax playing.

Crazyfool, in Sputnik metal definitely is not the only genre accepted. Here is a big alt/indie audience and hip-hop and rock are also sufficiently covered.

I'm no fan of matthews either, and this place does rock some indie, but its painfully obvious that metal rules the realm here. I'm a huge metal fan, so this isn't too much trouble, just would like to see some more diversity in musical tastes...again, not speaking specifically of the Dave Matthews band

idk, metal may be the most prefered genre here but indie/alternative has a very big fanbase here in sputnik too. Also hip-hop has a sufficient, constant fanbase, bu I guess you are right on the fact that metal has the MOST fans here. Still, I wouldn't say that metal rules the realm in here.

Merkaba, my buddy is a HUGE Dave fan and he's exposed me to a ton of tracks off all their studio albums. This news article just inspired me to rate all of his albums.

It's true. I neevr heard of this band but metal is the big winner on sputnik, I'm a huge old school metal fan and even I get picked on because I don't like the newer stuff!

actually I believe sputnikmusic is about as open minded as you could find a music website to be. if you look at the featured reviews, there's always pretty much everything covered from electronic to hardcore.
it's true though that there are some people running around here with like 90% metal in their ratings but hey, you can't change other people's tastes. and tbh, what you won't find here are people disliking albums just for the genre they're coming from like it's usual on RYM for example.

Wow. I did not know that.
I see him every time he comes to town though. Sadly, he's been getting progressively worse in concert over the years. Even mass quantities of marijuana aren't helping cover it up either.

i have an easier time understanding isaac brock talk at concerts than him singing.
on another note, metal isnt the only diggage here.
alt/indie, definitely. and much to my elation, hip-hop is gradually starting to get the love it deserves on here *^_^*
