Pretty underwhelming, not gonna lie. It's not bad, just a little boring. Hope the rest of the album is better.

Sizzor me timbers Xerces, the intro sounds like a carnival from hell. Good song, not as anthemic as the last albums single though.

Intro is pretty badass. Echo-y guitars and Spicuzza's interesting sampling win.

Curse.

Not bad at all, I have recently been playing the hell out of their self-titled

They won't top their s/t, but I'm hoping the new one is better than Resurrection.

I think these guys are pretty good and they have a great live energy, I just hope this album is a little less formulaic than their previous efforts. I thought 'six' off their last album was great because of its uniqueness amongst the rest of the tracks on the album...so hopefully they do a little more in that line of songwriting.

Songs alright has a little Meshuggah sound to it.
But Marks vocals sound like crap in some parts.

The mixing sounds pretty weird tbh. I think Mark does the gutturals. Maybe he should have left them to Spicuzza....although they worked on Kingdom Of Heartache.

Chimaira does not suck, bite your tounge Redsky. And uh, Mark Hunter is the ultimate frontman, fierce, intimidating, and M3TAL. I wonder how many people he has "Hunted' and smacked down in his lifetime. Scary motherfucker.

I didn't mean he was bad, I just think he needs to work on his lows. Maybe it was just the mix. His beefyness is incredible however, especially as it's only really happened over the last couple of years.

Didnt read your last comment Phantom but I'm confident the myspace song isnt final mastering. Mark's vocals have been stellar since POOE, so i'm confident the album will rule. I'd say he has a pretty distinct and easily reconizable metal voice. I dont think anything on this album will top the awesomness of Ressurection or The Flame though.

The video for Ressurection is uber metal but they cut off we are so god damn powerful, it sounds strange when he says we have become so powerful. This Message Edited On 03.03.09

S/T dude. The band was so tight on that album. A perfect example of good, wholesome American metal.

The lead in the background of this song is haunting. Good tune.

i've been BIG into Chimaira recently and they have great and brutal tunes... (Nothing Remains, Lazarus, Empire, Cleansation, Six), but this was a little iffy

I like how they have the keyboardist/DJ or whatever actually doing more this time around.

Song is okay though. They said it would be a overall slower CD. I guess that is true.

Always liked Chimaira but Mark Hunter can not write lyrics to save his soul. Hes always talkin about how people act like they know him n stuff. Get an outside lyricist! Song sounds ok, and ill buy the new one.

I'll give it a listen when I'm out of class. I never bought their material but I've seen them live twice, they're a very good band.
