U2 Rock Letterman For A Week
2009-02-28 by John Cruz EMERITUS | 19 Replies | 1111 Views

Irish rockers U2 will take up a week long residency on late night televisions The Late Show With David Letterman starting Monday March 2nd and ending Friday March 6th, respectively. It will be the groups first appearance on the late night talk show since October 2001, when the band took the fabled stage at The Ed Sullivan Theater where the show is taped for a performance of their hit song Stuck In A Moment You Can't Get Out Of.

Coinciding with the week long appearance will be the release of U2's first studio album in over four years, the much anticipated Brian Eno - Daniel Lanois produced effort No Line On The Horizon. Which you can read opinions of and reviews for right here at SputnikMusic.com in our album reviews section. The band is expected to perform several cuts from the new album over the course of their week long Late Show stint, and it's sure to be of interest to fans of the group and music fans in general as we are treated to a healthy dose of where the group stands today, and a generous sample of tunes from the new album.

The Late Show With David Letterman can be seen weeknights from 11:35pm to 12:35AM on your local CBS station. Please check local listings for more specific scheduling information.

Hah cool for U2...it would be pretty funny if David Letterman actually hated U2 but CBS signed them anyway and he had to deal with bono for an entire week.
