New Black Moth Super Rainbow

"After a year of eerie, stilted silence, the sun shines and the shadows reappear. Black Moth Super Rainbow has crept from the forests and cities to make Eating Us, their dark bubblegum freakout for 2009..."

So begins the ominous press release that announces BMSR's newest release, Eating Us. The album was recorded at Tarbox Road Studios with producer Dave Fridmann (The Flaming Lips, MGMT, Weezer, etc.). The album is apparently BMSR's first foray into a modern recording studio and promises to have "even more dense layers of lushly complex orchestration, intensely rhythmic drumming from a live, human drummer, vocoder vocals that are anything but robotic, and thick, undulating bass tones." Eating Us will be released May 26, 2009 on Graveface. The full deluxe CD version features a 16 page art booklet and hairy summer jewel case jacket.
