It's better than Contractor, but it's still not as good as I would have hoped. The chorus is pretty catchy/fun though.

Pretty good but the drums sounded like ass or was that just the crappy player
|
| |
It's decent but I still don't like the idea of Randy doing these clean parts. sounds like Mastodon when he does that.
@ slavelabor, chris adler's beard could bite your head off.

'Set to Fail'
This is a joke that explains itself people.

Randy's losing his voice. Sometimes his voice fits (I don't like his lower vocals, but they're probably the best bit - I used to be able to enjoy them a bit at least, but he sounds like he's parodying himself now), but it's mostly annoying. The intro was good, it's better than Contractor, but nothing special at all.

Heard this a while back. Its nowhere near as venemous or dangerous as I remember the first two albums being. Instead its all sounding slightly forced.
"This is a joke that explains itself people."
Damn you beat me to it! ^^

That was kind of bad. It's missing the atmosphere of Sacrament.

No the playing is great but the quality of it sucks
|
| |
Some parts sound very forced, the typical Lamb of God guitar riffs are getting quite stale.

This has been hanging around on youtube for a weeks or so.
Better than Contractor but still poor.
I may well be giving this a miss. Probably going to leak soon, so I might give it a cursory listen.

You should add their new US/Canada tour dates with As I Lay Dying and Bodom to this article.

song is sick
|
| |
song is good, sounds like thrash metal though... they kinda sound like strapping young lad with the melodic harsh vocals like that
|
| |
I completely forgot about the clean "singing" on here. My god it's poopty.
|
| |
its decent .. but nothing amazing
|
| |
I really can't see the big deal with Lamb of God. Seems they just regurgitate the same turgid rubbish album after album.
|
| |
This song sounds like some cheesy backwoods trailer metal. Terrible just like the other song that released
|
| |
*Yawn*

It sounds alright, not the spunk of old LOG though. Hopefully the rest of the album will have a few surprises, I have faith in the Adler brothers.

^^^Idk how credible this kid is, A7X? Avenged is a disgrace to metal, lets appeal to 14 year old girls.....great avenue

much better than contractor, but still incredibly average.
|

"Sounds rehashed. Same old LoG stuff etc."
And yet when a band decides to choose a new route, switch things up a bit, the responses are equally as negative.
"They sound different now. They aren't the same band they were when they started"
I don't think Lamb of God cares what these people think. They're still going to sell more records than Sacrament, make a bunch of money, and increase their fanbase.
For the topic, I liked the song. It was different, but it was cool to hear the "new" vocal style. Not my favorite song by them though.

eh... I'm not impressed.
The clean vocals are horrid like rancid cheese.
This album is set to fail... (giggle giggle)
|
| |
Ugh I hate how slick their albums sound now (from Ashes to the upcoming). It sounds too processed, and too clean. I prefer the gritty sound of As The Palaces Burn over this pro-tools disaster.
|
| |
i actually quite like this, the clean (well, let's be honest, they're far from CLEAN, they've just got a SLIGHT hint of melody) vocals are actually pretty awesome. whoever compared it to strapping young lad up there was spot on, and that can't be a bad thing. the only thing i don't like about this is the way the guitar parts are less angular and ridiculous than they used to be. but still, i'm looking forward to this.

'Set to Fail'
This is a joke that explains itself people. Song sucks. His vocals are so bad, he sounds like the Atreyu vocalists dad or something.
