In Vain Reveals New Album 2009-01-06 by jingledeath | 11 Comments | Norway's In Vain have issued the following update on their new album:
"After much work during Christmas we are 98% done and only small corrections remain. Our new album will be entitled 'Mantra' and it will feature 7 songs with a playing time of more or less an hour. As previously mentioned, we will also include a video of the recording and other stuff. More news on artwork, mastering and last but not least, music will hopefully be available in not too long. We have worked quite a lot on this album and hope you will enjoy it."
The tracklisting is as follows:
1. Captivating Solitude
2. Mannefall
3. Ain't no lovin'
4. On the Banks of the Mississippi
5. Circle of Agony
6. Wayakin (The Guardian Spirit of the Nez Perce)
7. Dark Prophets, Black Hearts
8. Sombre Fall, Burdened Winter

I'm stoked!
| | | Hopefully its like the second half of The Latter Rain, but
"3. Ain't no lovin'
4. On the Banks of the Mississippi"
lowers my expectations, this album better not be southern influenced in any god damn way
| | | yeah the 3rd track surprised me as well, hopefully it's just an instrumental.
| | | Yeah, I hope so too
| | | agreed, the track titles concern me. not something you;d expect to see from a norweigian prog death outfit, but lets hope the titles have 0 to do with the actual music
| | | cant wait for this. The Latter Rain was fucking immense. the track names dont worry me too much. i highly doubt its some southern music thrown in.
| | | uh well the article says "7" songs while there's 8 listed . Maybe one of the gay tracks is just a filler interlude? whatever I havent heard anything from these guys i think ill look for the Latter Rain
| | | Yeeeeeeeeeeeessss!!!
| | | Still need to get their debut!
| | | dammit i cant even find Latter Rain online anyone got a link?
| | | I think 3 and 4 are one song. Ain't No lovin on the Banks of the Mississippi
