The 8th release in the "Punk Goes" compilation series, Punk Goes Pop 2, will feature popular rock, hardcore, screamo, and punk bands covering chart topping pop songs from artists such as Britney Spears, Sean Kinston, and The Fray!
Previous "Punk Goes" albums have featured many bands like The All-American Rejects, Rise Against, Gym Class Heroes, Plain White T's, Jack's Mannequin, Relient K, Thrice, Mayday Parade, All Time Low.

You know what'd be great? A "Punk Goes Punk" comp, where these bands cover stuff by Bad Religion, Bad Brains, NOFX, Minor Threat, (older) Against Me!, etc.

ASL's toxic cover actually was pretty decent.
The fact that I like a fair amount of these songs, but don't really care for the bands vexes me. I'm terribly vexed.

i can't belive that with all the cynicism on this site that nobody has mentioned that punk turned pretty poppy a lonnnnnng time ago.
with the exception of a handful of bands who still manage to keep it real.
