Pretty excited for this, always liked Killswitch

Gross.
|
| |
I'm curious to see how they will change (if at all) and if they don't, how they will write more songs with the same style without it sounding watered down. Should be good though
|
| |
they're cool to hate I guess but I still like this band.
I can't help but be worried about someone besides Adam D. stepping to produce, at least after hearing All That Remains' new album. This Message Edited On 12.08.08

^ I was thinking the same thing. I've got a soft spot for KsE, and can't really see what Brendan O'Brien at the helm is gonna bring to this record. Pumped, hope it isn't as lackluster as Overcome was to me
|
| |
the band has tapped Brendan O’Brien (AC/DC, Rage Against the Machine, Pearl Jam) as a producer...
ya watch this be mainstream garbage.
|
| |
Killswitch Engage has been pretty mainstream for their last two records already so doubt that's going to change. They're still kicking ass so I could care less. Hopefully this will rule and I'm curious to see what will be different.
|
| |
ugh no more.
|
| |
better fucking be better than the last album
...ugh
|
| |
ya watch this be mainstream garbage
it's not like they're really that original anymore, what with every other metalcore band copying them and all.
I do think they should develop/refine/hone their sound a bit more but it probably won't really happen. This Message Edited On 12.08.08

what a shame
|
| |
that would be a bad thing since they've gotten even more drab and repetitive.
|
| |
alive or just breathing is the only thing they released that wasnt 8 shades of horrendous
however, this will follow the suit of all howard jones records. This Message Edited On 12.08.08

Looking forward to this.
|
| |
Killswitch should kill themselves already.
|
| |
I love this band.
|
| |
Harsh, memer.
|
| |
Best be better than ADD, doubt they'd be able to fail at that.
|
| |
I'm interested to see what they come up with for this.
|
| |
Hopefully they change things up
|
| |
i'm a little wary about not having adam d in the producer's chair.... but maybe it will help push them in more ways than just performing the songs flawlessly
|
| |
omg omg omg omg
never liked this band
|
| |
STFU fags. This will be awesome.
|
| |
I've always liked KsE because they were one of the gateway bands for me. Hopefully this album isn't as bad as the new ATR album.
|
| |
you'd be cuter if i shot you in the face
|
| |
I say yay. I heart KsE.
|
| |
KsE is cooL and AOJB album is their greatest.
|
| |
Woohoo! I love KsE! Though i must agree i was a bit disappointed by ADD.
|
| |
killswitch is good, hopefully this isn't all mediocre, just some like their last outing
|
| |
I'm interested to see if they develop their sound, though I doubt they'll do all that much differently. I hope they do, because AOJB and TEOH are two of my favourite metalcore albums, and I don't want to see another one of those from them.
You never know, they might change...
|
| |
since he's producing the new Mastodon album I have hope...
BUT seeing bands like Train, Springsteen, and Wallflowers, he should stick with that music and not produce metal. lets keep things separate here, k?
|
| |
I doubt Killswitch will particularly evolve from a sound that they have honed for years, but in all fairness, why do that if they're so good at it? I'm not their biggest fan but nobody can deny they write some absolutely f**king monolithic tunes! Try as they might though they won't, and i stress this, will never top "Alive..." which funnily enough had a less talented vocalist.
Still this album has a great chance of sounding good if Adam D is co-producing this. I'm sure he won't let it sound s**t!
|
| |
Alive or just breathing and the end of heartache were decent albums, but the last one sucked big dicks big time. It's metalcore anyway, what else would you expect. It's the most generic, basic and overproduced metal subgenre out there, so you can't expect a metalcore band to produce more than 2-3 good albums in their career, and that's what's happening to KWE, period.
|
| |
i love killswitch, you guys are dumb
|
| |
fuck alls y'all muther fuckers. KsE kick ass.
|
| |
can't wait..i'm wondering if adam will be playing parker guitars in the studio now that he's using them on the road..and hopefully the back holds strong for another tour these guys play amazing shows
|
| |
Sweet
|
| |
I don't really like this band. Although their "Holy Diver" cover was entertaining.
|
| |
I bet it's gonna suck. If it doesn't and you win, you get a signed picture of this guy: http://www.fugly.com/media/IMAGES/WTF/fat-guy-in-a-diaper.jpg

can not be denied
|
| |
sooooo fuckin psyched
|
| |
I'm sure this time just like all metalcore bands, KSE will give up metalcore and go pseudo-metal. So lame.
|
| |
oh goody more excessive pinched harmonics can't wait (rolls eyes)
|
| |
There is no such thing as too many pinch harmonics
|
| |
^Agreed, just ask Zakk Wylde
|
| |
These guys are good but a lot of their new album was kinda boring. Hope this is better.
|
| |
thats bullshit to wait until spring also it better be a good albumThis Message Edited On 12.09.08

For the new record, the band has tapped Brendan O’Brien (AC/DC, Rage Against the Machine, Pearl Jam) as a producer.
So this is going to suck, eh?
|

Can't wait! Killswitch rulez
